Imagine a thick steel cable strongly anchored from higher elevation and running down above the trees to a finishing place lower down the mountain. Now imagine you, securely strapped into a slider, gliding down that cable, high in the air, over hills, across dips and valleys, through some of the best scenery in the Smoky Mountains. Whoosh!

Dinner theater in Pigeon Forge has a new addition with Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures, on stage twice a day with live performances and good old fashioned southern food. The show takes place in the old Lumberjack Feud theater on Parkway, and retains the same sense of acrobatics and high-climbing scale. The new dinner show attraction opened in May, 2017, with Dolly Parton herself presiding over the ceremonies.

We feature all the goodies that the Johnson Family's Great-Grandmother (known as Mama to the family) made for them. At Mama's Farmhouse we like to do things differently than most all-you-can-eat restaurants. We serve our food family style, which means no buffet lines for you to stand in. We bring a portion of each of our items on the menu that day to your table for you to try. Want more of something? No problem, tell your server and they will bring another serving. It's all you can eat so tell them to keep it coming! This approach gives you fresher food and less waste if you don't want another serving of something.
