Neighborhoods

Seefeld is a district with a relaxed atmosphere. It is known for its well-tended promenade along Lake Zurich, which includes green areas such as the China Garden and the Tiefenbrunnen and offers bathing opportunities with a view of the Alps. The Sechseläutenplatz has a fountain and serves as the central venue for festivals and the annual Christmas market. The Theater im Seefeld and the magnificent Villa Patumbah are located in the neighboring, picturesque Mühlebach district.

Sightseeing

Uetliberg is Zurich's very own "mountain", from where you have beautiful views of the city and lake – and perhaps even a glimpse of the Alps. You can reach the topic by using the public transport (check the online schedule at zvv.ch or sbb.ch). Note that additional zones will be required as this goes beyond zone 110. The final stop is called "Uetliberg".

The centre of it all is the house with the restaurant on the first floor. From the balcony you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the lake. A smaller building next to the restaurant houses a rare-wine cellar with a few tables for some unforgettable rounds. Even if it should rain, a lakeside meal is as relaxing as a short trip to Saint-Tropez, Sylt or San Remo.

Public Transport is the easiest way to get around in Zurich

In case you only want to see places within the city of Zurich, I advice to use a daily ticket (24 hours) for zone 110. This let's you drive for 24 hours non stop and is exactly the same price as two single tickets (each valid for only 1 hour). The ticket can be purchased at the ticket vending machine at each station or using the ZVV or SBB app. In case you stay multiple days or with more than one person, you can save using a multiple 24-hour ticket for zone 110 as well. You find more information here: https://www.zvv.ch/zvv/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets/daypass.html
