Manchester Village is a quaint and classic New England Village about 30 mins from Stratton. It has a broad selection of restaurants and a range of shopping, including the Orvis Headquarters store and the famous Orvis fly-fishing school.
Restaurants range from 5-star such as at the Equinox resort to McDonald's with much in between. Also, consider a stop at the Dutton's Farmstand for a selection of seasonal treats.

The Mill House (behind Long Trail House by skating pond) has some specialty items (in winter).
There are small country markets with grocery items in Winhall and Jamaica, and also convenience stores in Winhall (at the base of the Stratton Mtn Access Rd, on Rt 30).
Standard sized supermarkets are located in Manchester, VT (<30 mins), Wilmington, VT (35 mins), Ludlow, VT (40 mins), or Brattleboro, VT (50 mins).
Manchester, VT has a wide selection of restaurants.

Johnny Seesaw's in Peru, VT is ~25 mins and an excellent experience. Book ahead at peak times!
Manchester, VT has restaurants that range from haute cuisine to McDonalds. Some need to be booked ahead.
Winhall (Rt 30 at base of Stratton Mtn Rd) has a number of choices. Honeypie is a VT version of Shake Shack.
In Stratton Village, Fire Tower and Verde are favorites. There is also pizza and more!
