Great walking spot, special area to safely bike or walk over the dam. Take a tour to see how they furnish the local electricity! Watch boats and barges lock through the dam. Awesome place to bow fish too or fish off the bank.

Visit the visitor's center to get into about the hydro-electricity generated here and the history of the building of this dam. Quaint local small town of Metropolis, Il. 30-35 miles from us. The Superman celebrations are an annual thing and very big deal for this little river city! Worth the trip across the bridge!

One price to get in, additional charge for 4-5 extra attractions that are optional. Well worth it. Extra clean, well staffed, one or maybe 2 place to eat inside or eat out & return.

Fantastic place to go with family or couple. They show the newest films and the grill there is amazing. Plan to wait in line for food, some locals order food and pick up even if they aren't visiting the drive-in. This place is a treat for young and old alike!

New park, well maintained, excellent marked walking trails, dogs allowed on leash. Disk golf as well as fishing in the park under gazebo. Perfect spot for a picnic & only 2 1/2 miles from my home.

(They give you hushpuppies to feed them under their covered gazebo)

This place is fabulous! My mother's surgeon from Nashville flies here to a small local airport just to eat! They're famous for the 2 inch pork chop but it's all good and take time to walk around the grounds, absolutely stunning! Reservations required as of 2020 due to it's grand re-opening and the crowds who flock there!
