Sightseeing
My loft is located in the trendy Lowertown Arts District of Paducah. It is one of the most desirable neighborhoods full of art galleries, shops, and historic homes. It is a neighborhood full of friendly, fun people only a few blocks walk or drive to Broadway Street and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Street festivals like the Lowertown Arts Festival and Barbecue on the River are just steps from my front door.

The bi-annual quilt show is held every year in the Spring and again in the Fall and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. Quilters may also be interested in checking out Hancock Fabrics or Quilt In A Day.

This is an escape room over by the mall that usually has 3-4 different escape games you can choose from. Some of them are kid-friendly while others are adult oriented. You have an hour to figure out all the clues and try to escape from the room. You will need to buy tickets before you go over there. If you are by yourself, you can get them to pair you up with another group.

Across the river in Metropolis, IL there is a local casino. It used to be on a riverboat but I believe it is located inside or nearby the hotel now.

This large park has a lake with ducks. There is an area set up as a playground for children. At Christmas time they have a light show you can drive through in the park.

If you are staying awhile, Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley are just a short 45 minute drive. There are several places you can rent boats or camping space, but you should call ahead to check availability.

This water park up by the lake is a 45 minute drive. They have quite a few water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool for kids. This is a fun option during the summer months!
