The Chimes is an experience! It's well-known for it's fantastic menu offerings of South Louisiana fare and it's beautiful bar featuring a huge variety of beer on tap. But the atmosphere is what truly sets The Chimes apart. There is expansive outdoor seating and a back deck that winds around and down to the waters of the Bogue Falaya River. Great family restaurant!

When my kids were truly kids, this was our go-to place of choice. The restaurant has been in business for decades, due to their amazing pies (all fresh ingredients...some pizzas with some great local flare) but also due to the cool atmosphere. "The Pizza Man" is known for preparing all of his pies behind a glass, where kids love to step up and watch him create. If they're lucky, he'll throw some flour "on" them, which gets great laughs. Parents can enjoy an adult beverage while playing music on the jukebox while the kids are occupied!

You simply can't leave south Louisiana without trying a daiquiri! New Orleans is known for these sweet (or sometimes bitter...depending on the flavor) alcoholic concoctions. Grab one to sip on the front patio while enjoying the sunset. Or grab a gallon or two if you've visiting during Mardi Gras season!
