Sightseeing
This is a great place to go for a walk, rent a bike, or rent a kayak and paddle down the canal. The path goes for miles and is mostly flat. You can rent kayaks and bikes from the Savannah Rapids Kayak Rental. 706-832-5323

This is my favorite local historical place! The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and they make the tour very interesting. I’ve been there three times and learn something new each time.

Edgar’s is an great place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion. It’s a bit upscale without being ridiculously overpriced. The restaurant (and the school that trains the chefs) are owned and run by Goodwill and support local people needing jobs and job training. It’s great food and a great cause!

If you’re into art, this is a great little art museum celebrating southern art and culture. It’s free on Sundays!
