The royal palace lies right in the heart of Rabat, and its area in front of it is open to the public. You can walk around up to the real Palace entrance, and even take some fotos.

This site occupies the oldest part of the city. It's a tranquil and picturesque place to wander between the narrow streets. In cafe Maure you have some great view over the river!

The tower is actually a lone-standing minaret of a never finished mosque that was intended to be the greatest one of the world. The Mausoleum hold a tomb of the Moroccan Sultan and his two sons.

This is an interesting place to wander. You'll be surrounded by colourful carpets, leatherworks, babouches (leather slippers) and copper crafts. I is a good place to do shopping of Moroccan souvenirs.

From the Medina, you can turn into Rue des Consuls to find more interesting little shops. Rabat was traditionally an artisan centre and a wide range of handicrafts are still practised here.
