My favorite place in the neighborhood! Take a walk down to this green and flowery place, a little hippie-feeling with the best ecological lunch and fika. Small allotmentsgardens in the area to wander around in. Also great for kids to run around. All outside (so avoid rainy days..)

Parks & Nature

One of Stockholm’s true gems! Cut your own flowers, pick your own apples or have lunch in the old greenhouses with biodynamic ingredients from the garden. This beautiful garden of Rosendal (“Rose Valley” in Swedish) is situated on Djurgården Island (central Stockholm) and serves some of the best homemade sourdough breads.

Sightseeing

A 500-meter long (quarter mile) walking path with a magnificent view of Lake Mälaren, City Hall, and Riddarholmen, especially at sunrise and sunset. The path is lined with charming houses on one side and a beautiful view on the other. There is of course a safety rail on the path, but be careful in the wintertime when parts of the path might be a bit slippery.

Entertainment & Activities

On the beautiful Island Djurgården (reached by bus, a quick walk over the bridge or a short boat trip), you'll Junibacken. A children play house with influences of Pippi Longstocking and other characters from the classic Swedish childrens books. It’s fairly expensive, all indoors but worth a visit on a rainy day. The kids will love it!
