A variety of hiking trails to choose from. My two favorites is Big Rocky Hollow Trail after it rains t view an outstanding waterfall and bluffs and Hawk's Cave Trail that will take you to the largest overhang in Southern Il. Both of these trails are close to one another.
The perfect place for rock climbing. Google rock climbing routes in Ferne Clyffe for directions.

This is a fun place to explore that is very close to Garden of the Gods. Moderate hiking trail that around the rim of a rock. I suggest starting on the middle trail which takes you past an ancient Indian wall and descend on the other side near Ox-Lot Cave.
