Great casual outdoor dining area on the river. It is a bit of a drive but we really like it here for beer, wings, bbq, and sitting outside along the water.

We've just always liked PJ Whelihan's here in Southern NJ and they have a nice patio here in Lehighton. They have a kid menu. Good for sandwiches, wraps, salads, beer, kids menu...

Awesome trail! Def need proper hiking shoes. Can be steep at times. If you're an avid hiker, you'll like this trail. I would not take small children on this hike.

On your way into Jim Thorpe, the memorial is right on Rt. 903 on your right hand side. It is rather interesting; however, the kids were bored. The adults enjoyed learning the history of our second home away from home.

Entertainment & Activities
Snowboarding and skiing - Jack Frost is open until 4pm, then head over to Big Boulder for some night skiing. Both have tubing hills. Big Boulder is closer to the house; however, we enjoy both. Lots of fun!!!

Awesome for paintball and white water rafting. Check out the moonlight rafting tours (minimum age requirement). They do offer family rafting for families with smaller children. Dam release weekends are your best bet for a little more adventure.
