Definitely one of the quirkiest dining experiences in Wells, the Albatross is a former Dutch cargo ship, moored at the Quay. Drop in for a pint and watch the tide come in, or try one of the famous dutch pancakes. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

Good food, good beer, great atmosphere... If you don't fancy driving, the Coasthopper bus stop is just outside (and you can catch the bus from Wells: the bus stop is on Station Road, just round the corner from Elgin Cottage). Also perfectly situated for boat trips to see the seals trips, which operate from the quay in Morston. Temple’s Seal Trip tickets can be purchased from the bar of The Anchor. Beer and boats - the perfect North Norfolk day out!

As one of the leading Norfolk attractions, it's a brilliant place to visit, with beautiful gardens and spectacular wildlife and has been voted Norfolk's Best Visitor Attraction. Although it seems a bit pricey, it makes for a full day out and is a wonderful place for children to explore.

Located 10 miles along the coast from Wells, Titchwell is the most popular reserve on the North Norfolk coast and a must for amateur and seasoned birdwatchers. Board walks and paths lead towards the coast past fresh water, brackish water and tidal lagoons, filled with birds, eventually reaching an enormous sandy beach. The 42 mile long Norfolk Coastal Path runs from Hunstanton to Cromer, passing through Holkham, Wells, Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea. Walking the path is a wonderful way of enjoying this stunning stretch of coast. The coasthopper bus service shadows the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail all the way along from Hunstanton to Cromer, so it’s really easy to take the bus, get off for a good walk, and rejoin the bus a bit further along the route.

Another stunning Norfolk beach with miles and miles of unspoilt golden sand, as far as the eye can see, and with the added bonus of housing the remains of an old shipwreck, seen when the tide is out.
A lovely beach for children to play as the acres of space make it perfect for sandcastles, games of cricket, kite flying... but be very careful of the tides. Do not let your children wade out too far into the sea as the tides on this beach hide hidden sand banks which can be very treacherous.
