It is also the home of Atalaya Castle. This was the winter home of the industrialist and philanthropist Archer M. Huntington and his wife, the sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. You can tour the home and learn the history of the wealthy family who inspired Brookgreen Gardens, how they built the castle and what life was like in the lowcounty.
