“This restaurant may be more on the pricey side but it is so worth it. The views over looking the ocean are amazing and so it the food. Call a couple of weeks ahead of time to make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside!”

“Duke's Malibu restaurant and Barefoot Bar sits perched on the water's edge just four miles north of Sunset Boulevard. Dressed up or down, you'll feel welcome at this ocean front restaurant. With over 300 feet of picture windows out to the Pacific, Duke's boasts one of the longest oceanfront sites on the west coast. You'll experience the spirit of Aloha here from the crashing waves, Hawaiian influenced cuisine and the genuine friendly service that is Duke's signature. You are invited to relax and take in the endless ocean views while enjoying the freshest seafood and premium steaks, each uniquely prepared and thoughtfully served.”

“When I first came to Ojai I really wanted to go to the Deer Lodge. It’s an old 1930s roadhouse. Inside is dark with overstuffed arm chairs, very lodge like. Weekends, there are tons of bikers there, not the gang type, more the middle aged execs from LA riding their Harleys. If you stick to appetisers or burgers you should be ok, otherwise the food is a disaster. However, it is an Ojai legend, should visit.”

“Very popular Meiners Oaks eatery. Pizza, Pasta and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. Outside patio. I like it but in all honesty the pasta is one step up from Chef Boyardinis but cheap!”

“This is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine, or coffee. It's a little slice of Tuscany. They have live folksy music most weekends, and sometimes more lively bands on weekend evenings. Special events like Octoberfest and wine tasting are often advertised. Big screen sports tvs and outdoor pizza kitchen. Cool and hip for all ages and families, too! For a slightly more upscale experience, try the Italian restaurant on site. Great food, ambiance, service and views of the golf course and manmade lake. For those that enjoy a young night scene Bogarts is a night club that attracts a wide variety of locals.”
