“First opened in West Seattle where the historic Blake’s Bakery once stood, William and Heather Leaman continue to make history daily with one-of-a-kind creations. This café always has a large selection of fresh baked goods and desserts to choose from, which are sold on a first come, first serve basis. With over 20 years experience in pastry, bread and chocolate, and as the captain of the 2005 Bread Bakers Guild Team USA, where he led his team to victory at the Coupe du Monde de Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking), William Leaman’s Bakery Nouveau has become a Seattle icon. ”

“Only a 10-minute walk from our guest house, we love Columbia City Bakery for their amazing baked goods and coffee! We love their savory options - tomato focaccia, gougeres, daily flavors of savory scones, and breakfast sandwiches - but their sweet items are delicious as well.”

“This is a world famous piroshky bakery. They are Russian pastries that are stuffed. My favorite is the egg, cheese, bacon. I recommend going to the first Starbucks and then immediately coming over to this restaurant (next door) first thing in the morning. ”
