Across the road from the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground and other sporting venues, 15 minutes to Sydney's beautiful eastern suburbs beaches including the world famous Bondi Beach. Start your day with a coffee at the amazing Bourke Street Bakery right around the corner. Our house is a very stylish, architecturally designed & recently renovated terrace house. A perfect combination of the old & the new, and incredibly relaxed environment. Your room is a large room with its own private balcony looking out over the neighbourhood & comfortable queen size bed. Plenty of hanging and drawer space for your clothes so no need to live out of a suitcase. This is also the home of Gascoigne & King - all guests will receive one of our beautifully handmade luxury scented travel candles (retail $25) for free when they check in!!
This is undoubtedly the best location is Surry Hills, two minutes' walk to cafes, restaurants, and bars and a short walk to the CBD, Sports Fields, Centennial Park, Opera House, and Sydney Harbour. Take a short trip to Bondi or Manly Beach.

My 34 sqm studio is quietly tucked away yet in the middle of everything. There are a gazillion cafes/bars/supermarkets right downstairs and weekend markets across the road. A pleasant walk by the water takes you to the art gallery, botanic gardens and opera house.
The apartment is on the border between the red light district (home to some hard characters, weekend party-goers and backpackers) and the gentrified part of the neighbourhood (the 'Paris end' of Potts Point). The 1937 building, originally nurses quarters, is quite dilapidated but retains its period charm. My flat is renovated so feels fresh. The shower temperature can be tricky to get just right so I often took baths living there, and the bath is nice and deep. Nestled between other apartments overlooking the high street and rear laneway, my flat is on the first floor and faces into a lightwell. This means there is no grand vista but also no street noise, and it's temperate with plenty of natural light. It feels spacious for a studio as the bathroom, kitchen, walk-in wardrobe and bed nook are separate from the central living area. Below is a patisserie so kitchen sounds and smells can waft up (I've never found this too intrusive but some guests have mentioned it, see reviews). The most frequent positive feedback I get is around the apartment's decoration/style and location.
I love the harbour-side walk to the Andrew Boy Charlton swimming pool, across the water from the strangely beautiful naval base. The Saturday food markets have a great vibe (I recommend The Butchers Table stall sandwiches and the Vietnamese salads and pho) and the patisserie right next door does amazing chocolate mousse cake and croissants. If you exit the back door of the building you open it onto a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe called Room 10 which does excellent, and marvellously convenient, coffee. The walk to Beare Park on the water takes you through residential streets with nice art deco architecture and past the historic Elizabeth Bay House, which itself has a lovely public garden across the road - both good spots for a picnic. Rushcutter's Bay is a more expansive park, good for jogging, frizbee, playgrounds etc. There is a lot of nightlife in the area - the gay clubbing precinct is nearby, tawdry Kings Cross is in full swing on weekend nights and there are some more sophisticated small bars in Potts Point and on Victoria Street. Close to Sydney's major attractions, the area is full of hotels & hostels, a tourist information booth and places to hire travelling vans, book outback adventures etc. Airport shuttle buses loop around the streets every half hour or so and the hop-on hop-off city tour bus stops outside my building.

  • Staður Ariana passaði fullkomlega eftir þörfum mínum. Íbúðin var í göngufæri við Sydney Harbour og miðbæinn. Það var mjög hreint og vel viðhaldið og hún var nógu góð til að láta mig sleppa töskunum snemma til að ég gæti komist rétt í að skoða borgina. Ég myndi örugglega bóka aftur með Ariana.   • Staður Ariana í Potts Point er notalegur og stílhrein. Það er á þægilegum stað nálægt neðanjarðarlestinni með mörgum verslunum, kaffihúsum, veitingastöðum og börum til að skoða í nágrenninu. Hún var svo ljúf við að hitta mig við innritun. Aðstaðan var ótrúleg og ég naut þess rýmis sem hún bjó til. Ariana var móttækilegur þegar ég hafði einhverjar áhyggjur.     Decidedly cool. Chill out in this bright & beautiful Darlinghurst Studio, right in the heart of the best of Victoria St cafe's, back street art galleries, theatres plus chic eateries on Stanley St. Live in Art Deco history with best view in town!
    Entire home, not shared. This top floor apartment (5th floor, accessible via fully working, brand new quiet lift or easy stairs) with very high ceilings and 1920s heritage art deco features is a space that is full of light all day long with an incredible vista day or night. Don't stay here if you don't love character with an oldy worldy Parisian loft feel as this studio is filled to the brim with character and charm for those who love original details. Included in the old world charm are old world building sounds like a distant clunking sound when the lift is operated. Older buildings were built so well and the thick walls mean no neighbour sounds, the culdesac street means no traffic noises whilst right in the heart of the restaurant filled village. Brilliant for a single or couple, sleeping maximum two people, on the chiropractic, comfortable queen bed. The kitchen is separate to the main living space, in a small galley way, with a full sized fridge, gas stove and oven (no microwave). No need to sleep with the kitchen in this studio! The kitchen and bathroom both have stunning original tiles with a huge beautiful deep bath, so if you're a bath person, you will be in heaven, enjoying the lovely cross breeze (no AC but none needed!) after a day of walking around the sites of Sydney. Darlinghurst is a destination for Sydney's best restaurants and bars, so you will hear the occasional passerby however this building is on a cul-de-sac, so is one of the quieter streets in the area, as there is no road traffic sound below. People are often surprised at how quiet such an inner city area can be, perhaps as we are on the top floor. Studio has fast internet wifi and coin laundry facilities on the top floor. The roof top also has a fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge and the Domain Park. Darlinghurst has colourful characters and is constantly evolving. Where better to stay than right in the heart of it all with the best restaurants that Sydney has to offer - not to mention the original Messina Icecream Shop! Guests have unlimited wifi, access to a small wardrobe, under bed storage perfect for suitcases, the three ottomans also have storage, use of bathroom and 80% of the kitchen. We reserve a cupboard and one trunk for our supplies, these are the only areas that are locked. I am a super speedy responder and here to answer and assist with any questions at all. We like to know when guests have settled in, so that we know guests have their keys and all is as expected. We need to know if anything is not working or broken upon arrival so we can fix and replace items. Sometimes it is just a matter of usage instructions and rather than guests tell us at the end of their stay that items weren't working we would prefer to know so that we can send instructions if there is any issue. This leafy inner city suburb offers stunning residential streetscape. A pocket of pulsating options, the streets come alive at night in this most convenient of locations in Sydney. Darlinghurst is a very safe inner city suburb. The closest train station, Kings Cross, is sometimes sketchy, but like all blue light areas, there is a high police patrol, so we feel very safe there. Darlinghurst is the next suburb and has a cafe and restaurant vibe, so it's very different to Kings Cross. There are many buses and trains all within a close walking distance from our studio. Our street has a 99% walking score! You can walk anywhere to Sydney's biggest attractions and just a bus to beaches such as Bondi Beach :-) Rates are seasonal and change throughout the year. To find the rates and date availability, please go to our home page and click your dates on the top right hand corner. This will also provide rates for dates selected. The studio does not have AC. Installing AC in this studio would be in vain as the studio does not need extra cooling. The studio is on the top floor and has a wonderful cross breeze that all have loved and enjoyed. It also faces east so only gets the morning sun, not the hot afternoon western sun, were it on the other side of the building it would be a different story. The studio has a large ceiling fan if extra cooling is required, but beyond the fan, AC is not needed at all. Rates are dc until Aug 15 due to lift replacement.

You’re also just a short walk to the Italian hub of Stanley Street; a 20 min walk into the city, via the Domain and Hyde Park; a 20-minute walk (or less) to trendy Surry Hills. I’ll leave you a list of my favourite eating spots on check in. COOKING IN? The apartment is 100 metres from the excellent Harris Farm supermarket (or there's an even bigger supermarket within 200 metres), and there's a Farmers’ Market every Saturday only 80m walk away. I'll also leave the kitchen all set up with oil, vinegar, etc. so you can just focus on the main ingredients. There's even a high-end caterer - "Sides & Main" - on your street, selling gourmet meals from their shop-front, so if you are too lazy to cook but want to eat in. Too easy. NIGHTLIFE? Everyone knows neighbouring Kings Cross is famous for nightlife, but you may NOT know that its areas (Potts Point, Darlinghurst, Woollomoolloo and East Sydney) include some of Sydney's best areas to eat and drink in, all within a 5-minute walk. There are lots of small hip bars in the area - including on fabulous Llankelly Place, just near your building. You can also walk 10 minutes to Oxford Street clubs, or just 20 minutes to the centre of Sydney (Rocks, Circular Quay, etc.). I'll give you plenty of tips on arrival. If you like your nightlife more serene Govindas lounge cinema is about 5 minutes up the road, the Old Fitzroy Pub (so much character!) has a cheap theatre attached, and a great vibe. There are also numerous other local theatres and cinemas within walking distance. (I’ll leave you a few suggestions for all of this on check in). SIGHTSEEING? Walk to Hyde Park or the Botanic Gardens; the Opera House (probably 30 minutes, via Hyde Park and the Botanic Gardens); or short bus/train to Bondi Beach or other eastern suburbs beaches. Potts Point is in Sydney’s centre but has easy access to beaches, the famous Bondi-Bronte walk, and Sydney Harbour (I’ll leave you tips with my favourite picnic spots and nearby walks). WORKING? Walk into the city, so easy! Potts Point is walking distance to George Street and the main centre of Sydney. The apartment is also about 15 minutes walk UNSW’s College of Fine Arts on Oxford Street, a quick bus to UNSW, easy commute to The University of Sydney. The apartment is a 10-minute walk to St Vincents’ Hospital. There's unlimited wireless internet in the apartment so getting online is no problem. GYM'S, YOGA & PILATES? The apartment is located on the same street as P.E. Dept Gym and Fitness First is 5 minutes away. There are also a few boutique Yoga and Pilates classes in the local area. No problem for healthy adults (whoever checks you in will be happy to assist you with bags), but just letting you know... Washing machine and dryer are one level up in the building (coin operated). Plus I've installed a great drying rack in the bathroom in case you want to handwash anything. Yes, there IS a hairdryer! iMac Computer is provided with ADSL2+ WiFi internet, of course! Also unlimited free local calls available on the land-line telephone. If you require extra bedding for the sofa bed and you are not paying for a third guest, there is a one-time $25 surcharge for the additional laundry charges we incur. One-time and not per night. An Infant cot is also available for a one-time $25 fee. We ask guests to leave $25 on the table for our cleaners who manages the laundry services. The extra bedding set for the 3rd guest comprises of 1 x flat sheet + 1 x fitted sheet + 1 duvet cover + 1 x duvet + 2 x pillow covers and pillows. There are also a couple of soft blankets to put under and over the bedding for extra comfort. The location is superb, but the Kings Cross area IS busy on a Friday/Saturday night. This is an action-packed part of town; one reason it's great to stay here. While the apartment itself is quiet, and I doubt you'll ever hear the neighbours, you might hear some noise from the street at night on the weekends. I think the location is totally worth it, but forewarned is forearmed, so they say! Cars - Parking is available nearby but is a hassle, and it's expensive. Daily visitor car parking vouchers are available on request with a fee. Car rental locations are close by and GoGet car share is easy and available close by. Locals walk everywhere or use the buses and trains as the location is central and easy to navigate. If you have a car, I'll give you tips on where to park long-term, and it's less than 5 minutes walk away. Kings Cross train station is only 300m walk away from the apartment. There are windows, but sorry, no view. Although this place is so close to the city you can see the Harbour Bridge from the laundry room (see, washing IS worthwhile), and Centerpoint tower from Orwell Street outside. However you don't need them through a window - they're just walking distance away!
    Rich with history, culture and sophistication, Potts Point is an ideal place to stay or visit for those who want to enjoy the picturesque surroundings of a bygone era and still be close to everything Sydney has to offer. Potts Point situated within Sydney City is just a short 20-minute walk to the CBD and a stone's throw from Kings Cross Railway Station, so you can easily catch a train to some of Sydney's major attractions. Sydney Buses, Taxis and Car Hire are also readily available in the immediate vicinity. As for dining out, Victoria St, and in particular Macleay St, are dotted with a range of restaurants to suit all tastes. Kings Cross, Darlinghurst Rd offers a countless number of nightclubs, bars and theatres for those who enjoy the nightlife. Or for the more subdued there are plenty of parks, museums and harbour side charm in the neighbouring suburbs.

    The Studio is a self contained space at the rear of my terrace house. Secure, peaceful and private. The Studio has its own private entrance off a wonderful park. Close to some of Sydney's best cafes, bars and restaurants. Guest will have their own ensuite (bathroom) with a simple yet functional kitchenette. Including a washing machine, bar fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Guests will have access to a private sunny courtyard shared by the owner of the house adjacent, surrounded by wonderful trees. I live and work from home. I can interact with you as much or as little as you desire. My home office space is well away from The Studio to maintain privacy for your stay. I have a small dog who is super cute, he will welcome you wholeheartedly. He is not in the yard however, so there is no issue when you come and go to the studio.     Redfern Street runs eastward from the Redfern railway station and 500m down the road The Buxton House is one of six brick Victorian Terrace houses of two stories. The house is zoned under conservation heritage and if only walls could talk this house would no doubt have some notorious under belly stories to tell. We founded this house neglected, run down and decrepit but saw beauty within its colonial Architraves, Kauri Pine and Red cedar stair case, Sandstone window sills and natural Victorian Charm which led us to our restoration to its former colonial glory. Redfern over the past couple years has seen a revival and is now starting to establish itself with some world class bars and restaurants. Upon arrival we have put together a welcome book containing our favourite recommendations all tested personally first hand.
    Redfern is a real eclectic diverse mix of characters which makes for a fascinating never boring neighborhood. Our journey restoring the Buxton House has allowed us to meet and befriend the local community. Our neighbours have been so friendly and welcoming to our new presence on the street. The Redfern people are down to earth and from my experience very welcoming.

If you need parking there is free parking in front of the house on Elizabeth st. No parking is allowed during peak hour 7am- 9am and 4-pm- 6pm. Apart from those hours you can park the car as long as you like. After 6pm on Friday and on the weekend you can park as long as you want. Parking however is subject to availability. If you don't mind a short walk, there are some free stree parking spots in which you can park your car all day around the corner on Cooper st and Walker st.
    Conveniently located near the Sydney CBD the house is on the cusp of the famous Surry Hills and Redfern food/ wine and bar district. Every where is easily accessible by public transport or is within walking distance.

    Our commitment to cleaning - These are stressful times for us all, so me and my team want to make sure you know that if you are considering staying that we take cleaning very seriously here, we have always been methodical about disinfecting every surface in the unit, but during this outbreak we are being extra careful to use a bleach solution on all areas which are touched more regularly, such as keys, door knobs, cupboard handles, light switches, kettle handles, remote controls, etc. We also are making sure to wash our hands/use alcohol gel before starting and many times during cleaning. We are also mindful to ensure we feel well ourselves before going inside to clean. If you need to self isolate, I also am available to go get you groceries, or anything you need. I am here for you! This is a self contained studio, with your own kitchenette, bathroom and courtyard, in a very handy location, minutes walk to the city, shops, restaurants and transport. You will be in Chippendale, there is plenty of good cafes, funky restaurants, bars and art galleries around, including the world famous White Rabbit Gallery. The house is a 7 minute walk to Redfern Station or 10 minutes to Central train Station, 20-50 min walk to the city, and is very close to Broadway Shopping Centre and Central Park where you can do your shopping. It is only a 20 minute walk to the buzzing Newtown, Surry Hills and Darling Harbour with all of their restaurants and pubs . Also at walking distance is Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), Sydney University (USYD), University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Carriageworks. It is very easy to get to all Sydney's major attractions from here - you are one easy 15 min bus ride or train ride away from the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It takes minutes to drive to Bondi and many other beaches as well as National Parks. From the airport it is only a 20 minute drive, or a short train ride.     Redfern Street runs eastward from the Redfern railway station and 500m down the road The Buxton House is one of six brick Victorian Terrace houses of two stories. The house is zoned under conservation heritage and if only walls could talk this house would no doubt have some notorious under belly stories to tell. We founded this house neglected, run down and decrepit but saw beauty within its colonial Architraves, Kauri Pine and Red cedar stair case, Sandstone window sills and natural Victorian Charm which led us to our restoration to its former colonial glory. Redfern over the past couple years has seen a revival and is now starting to establish itself with some world class bars and restaurants. Upon arrival we have put together a welcome book containing our favourite recommendations all tested personally first hand.

Handy location supermarket only 3 mins away, 25 mins walk to the city or bus 10 mins. Please feel free to ask any questions before booking. There is 1 x Double and 2 x Queen beds, clothing racks, wardrobe, drawers, full length mirror, hairdryer, bar fridge, table to share, fan. This a 3 x bedroom flat, non smokers only.
    Attic room fairly basic but very liveable, has a fridge, desk, and TV in the room wardrobe and clothes racks. We have a BBQ courtyard area ideal for dining outside, or a glass of wine in the evening. I have many records if you like music but please handle these with care.
    Area looks a bit rough at first glance but its safe. Redfern as many bars and cafes we are walking distance to Woolworths, Aldi, and Coles, supermarkets nice park for walking and cafes and restaurants are close by. Also very accessible to the city by bus (10 mins) or train.

Bars, restaurants, shops & bus stops are just downstairs, trains are 3 minutes' walk.     Behind our unassuming front door, a stairwell decorated with images and oddities gives an inkling of the bohemian paradise above. One flight up, you emerge into the large main space where you can see at once that your hostess is a slightly eccentric artist. Paintings, posters, photos and cards line the walls, antique furniture and Turkish carpets give a sense of luxury and warmth. Everywhere there are lamps, candles, ornaments and curios, from the green china cicada to the full-size mannequin in evening dress (her name is Sheba). You'll be shown through to the guest room, which is large and sunny with a queen-size bed and a single bed. It has block-out curtains for late sleepers, a table and chairs for eating or working at, an easy chair, a wardrobe and suitcase storage, mirrors, heater, fan, and still plenty of room to lay out a yoga mat - or even, by arrangement, a single foam mattress for a fourth person. Besides the guest room, the apartment comprises host Jaqi's bedroom and dressing room/workspace, the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and rear garden terrace, plus the big open-plan lounge and dining area complete with dance floor. The dance floor comes in handy when Jaqi throws one of her legendary parties; it was once her band and cabaret rehearsal space but is now mostly used for yoga workouts. When you've seen around the kitchen you'll discover a lovely, sunny outdoor terrace at the back, where you can sit at a table in the garden, shaded by a cafe umbrella and surrounded by flowers and greenery. Being so handy to everything, it can get a bit noisy here at times, especially at the front of the house. We love the energy and excitement, but we do supply complimentary ear plugs in case it bothers you.
    Redfern is one of the most vibrant, complex and exciting places in all of Sydney. While remaining true to its history as a multicultural working-class suburb and an urban meeting place for Indigenous people from all over the country, it has also evolved over the last ten years into a buzzing entertainment precinct packed with hip small bars, comfy pubs, cafes and restaurants offering a multitude of cuisines, shops selling restored period furniture and homewares, and art galleries and studio spaces showing eclectic exhibitions and performances. There's 107 Projects, the arts hub up the road, and the Bearded Tit, voted by TimeOut Sydney's best small bar, just around the corner... if you can get past the three bars between us and it. Five minutes down the street the other way is the beautiful Redfern Park, with its grand old palm and ficus trees, central fountain and sculpted war memorial - a delightful place for a stroll and perhaps a picnic making use of the free barbecue. If you're feeling more active there's the adjoining Redfern Oval, home of the Rabbitohs. There's also the lovely Prince Alfred Park with its native meadows, gym equipment, playgrounds, tennis courts and a magnificent swimming pool and cafe complex, a ten-minute walk away toward the city. And there's a 25m pool and cafe just a minute or two from home, at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence. Strolling around Redfern's charming back laneways will also show you art nouveau factories, Victorian workers' cottages, stately town terraces, a multitude of pocket parks and such brilliant redevelopments of old industrial sites as the Carriageworks arts complex, which is always showing something edgy and engaging. There's a farmers' market here on Saturdays; you're also a 15-minute walk to the iconic Paddy's Market and Chinatown.
