Set Sail on Lake Tahoe - Private
We can go sailing on my 25 foot sailboat to my favorite spots! This experience is for 3 hours. Our typical sail is Valhalla (South Lake Tahoe) to Emerald Bay, and back. We can sail to the emerald bay where you can view the vikingsholm and the teahouse on top of fannette island from the sailboat. Very comfortable! This is a private sailing experience for you, meaning you will have the entire boat to your party. Have as much fun as you want! Sailing etiquette highly supports tipping the skipper! Come onboard for an awesome experience! Other things to note: Weather and wind permitting: if there are thunder storms or strong winds, we can not sail. (Which you will be 100% refunded) Safety First! Your experience includes unlimited beverages, alcoholic and nonalcoholic! If you’d like to tell me your preferences after booking, I’ll make sure there’s plenty on ice. (Please please please do not wait until the last minute or the day before the experience to tell me your drink preferences!) A charcuterie board is available for an additional $20. You are also more than welcome to bring anything you would like to eat or a drink on board. Please no stepping on the cushions! Please No Spray sunscreen onboard. Lake Tahoe-Hike year round with a Local
I would love to be your Tahoe local friend and lead you on a 2 mile hike to a beautiful overlook of Emerald Bay and the ENTIRE Lake Tahoe basin. In my 23 years of living here, I have explored many of the trails and much of shoreline around Tahoe and this vantage point is one of my favorites. Also available for the sunrise, sunset, and/or moonrise! Great for groups and team building. Beginner and kid friendly too. Intermediate-level hike available too. The experience begins with a paved walk on a campground road. Then the trail turns to dirt with a slight incline for about ¼ mile until we get to the lookout point. After, we can return on a dirt trail or on the paved road or if there is time, we can choose a longer route. If you are visiting Tahoe during the winter time, the hike will most likely be covered in snow. Snow boots or hiking boots will be needed. I can bring a sled to help tow the kiddos. The hike may be weather dependent due to heavy snowfall. My goal is to make sure that you have an unforgettable visit to Lake Tahoe and that you leave with tons of photos (I will take the photos and then give them to you via your phone). We will keep our impact to the area minimal with Leave No Trace principles and choose non-peak hiking times. I am happy to try and accommodate mobility challenged/differently abled folks on the hike.

Breath work and cold plunge in the magical Yuba River
BREATH WORK AND COLD PLUNGE IN THE MAGICAL YUBA RIVER . Boost your immune system . Detoxify your body . Rejuvenate . A unique experience at the Yuba River . Expand your awareness We will meet at Hoyt Crossing, at the 49 bridge. I will facilitate a 45min breath work journey and meditation to prepare your mind, body and spirit to walk into the cold water of the magical Yuba River. This is a blessing. Ishnaan is an ancestral yogic practice of cold water therapy. It is touted with enhancing nearly all of the body’s systems. Exposure to cold increases the flow of lymphatic fluids, triggers immunity, stimulates circulation, and strengthens the nervous system. The Yuba river is known to be very pure and healing water. Take advantage of your stay here, to live this unique experience. You will be guided to start slowly, with great awareness. Gradually experiencing the cold therapy. Risks & Contraindications Of course, cold water therapy is not right for everybody. It should not be practiced by people who have had strokes, or have high blood pressure, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or epilepsy. Women are also recommended to avoid Ishnaan during menstruation and pregnancy.
Private sound healing journey into tranquility & bliss
Take a time out from the hustle and gift your mind-body-spirit with a sonic tune-up. In this private session we will come together in my sanctuary space and sink into deep relaxation with multi-dimensional healing tones. I use many instruments, such as planetary gongs, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, rattles, chimes, pyramids, nature sounds, tuning forks and voice. There is nothing to do but show up and receive. Sound healing is an ancient practice that transmits vibrational patterns to entrain the body's frequencies into a more coherent state, transmuting those that are not in our highest health. Healing can occur on a cellular level: structuring internal waters, moving stagnant energy, balancing brain hemispheres, aligning chakra centers, calming anxiety, quieting the monkey mind - all providing better sleep and more vitality. We enter into a journey deep within and a state of awareness that lifts resistance to healing that we might be subconsciously carrying. As I play, I integrate loving intention, reiki healing energy and light language. The session will close with warm tea to ground you. You'll leave feeling recalibrated, rejuvenated and blissed out. It's truly a unique and powerful experience. Dates / times are flexible, so if you'd like to adjust the time or request a date that you don't see here, I may be able to accommodate.
Walking Ancient Pathways
Join us as we explore ancient Native American trails, camps, and villages, and search for new, previously undiscovered sites. We will be hiking a mostly-level 3-5 mile trip, navigating the low altitude grasslands of the Sierra Nevada foothills near Cool, California. The trip leader will discuss the history and natural world of this area, sharing his knowledge of the local Native Americans, as well as the flora, fauna, and geology of the area. Our trip will also explore new areas, if desired, in search for previously unknown, undocumented cultural resources. Any new sites will be passed along to the North Central Information Center for historical preservation. This is your chance to find history! After the hike, participants will receive a detailed map and photos, if desired, from the trip. This is a kid-friendly, dog-friendly walk, so plan on taking your time! Other things to note This is a hike in the mountains, so plan accordingly. We will be hiking off the trail, so be sure you're comfortable doing so. To stay on the trail is to limit yourself.

Create an Heirloom Toy From Reclaimed Cedar or Redwood
This activity will be tailored to your level of woodworking skills; from beginner to experienced. You will be reclaiming cedar or redwood to create an heirloom, movable, durable toy to enjoy or pass on to someone special. Some of these toys, that were made 30 years ago, are still being displayed by my nephews and nieces. The day will begin with 2-3 hours in the shop cutting, shaping and gluing parts for your chosen toy. To allow time for the glue to dry, you will have 1 hour of private time in the afternoon to: - hike on trails through the woods on our 30 acres - walk or drive down (1/3 mile) to the year-round creek to swim or simply commune with the natural forest here on our property - pick vegetables from our large, seasonal garden for a luncheon salad - simply relax in creekside hammocks or patio furniture - explore the wonderful historic and forested charm of Nevada County - use our hot tub overlooking our creek and wooded canyon The afternoon will involve 1-2 additional hours in the shop to complete your heirloom toy to take home and relish the accomplishment of having created an amazing product. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: When working around power tools it is highly recommended that you wear closed shoes and have no loose hanging jewelry or shirt sleeves that may get snagged in the machines.
Bike to The Beach For a Tasting Menu With a Private Chef
You'll meet me at my house where we will hop on one of my bikes for a 1.75-mile ride to the beach on the Pope Baldwin Bike Path. Once we arrive at the beach, you will enjoy a gourmet tasting menu with expansive views of the entire Lake Tahoe basin! Once your bellies are full we will hop back on our bikes and cruise back to my house. I am also happy to do private tasting menus for larger parties at your house or Airbnb. On our walk we will look at some ancient Indian acorn grinding rocks. Cold drinks, a pie & ice cream will be offered on the shady lawn at the end of the tour. If you like shopping: I have a small store with gifts, antiques and book right next door. In the summer guests could take a refreshing swim in the swimming pool. A small pool is available for young children. Minimum group size is 2. If you are booking just one space, I might have to cancel if there are no additional bookings. My dates, times and group sizes are flexible. Please contact me if you like to schedule something on a specific day or time. Group or school tours are available, please inquire. Other things to note: During the rainy season rain boots are best since the fields can be muddy. Good walking shoes or boots are best during the dry seasons. Peaceful Walk, or Educational session with Alpacas or Goats
Upon arrival, we will spend about 10 minutes going over farm and animal safety. Then we will walk over to meet the alpacas and llamas. The animals are generally kept in 3 separated areas. Each guest will be given a baggie of mineral pellets to hand feed the alpacas, if interested in doing that. I will go over the history of alpacas and llama, where they came from, what they are used for and how their fleece is collected each year and processed into end products. While you feed the pellets, we will have the ability to be up close and personal with the alpacas and llamas. Question and Answer time will be thru out the visit. We will go to each pen area, and learn about the different groups, females, males, and babies. Towards the end of the tour, we will go to the store and look at products that have been made from the alpaca fleece, and guests will have an opportunity to purchase items. PLEASE TEXT if interested in the walk, as this listing does not designate between a general visit and a walk.... Other things to note Alpacas are very skittish by nature, so please be prepared to let them approach you. Loud quick movements will scare them and reduce your ability to have the experience of being near them
Magical Story Wine Tasting Experience in Amador
We are Story Winery, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Our winery consists of an 1865 former gold miner bunk/treehouse turned tasting room. It is surrounded by old and beautiful vineyards, planted in 1894, and the thing we are known for other than our award-winning wines, the awe-inspiring canyon views is something your heart will not easily forget. You are welcome to bring a picnic-style lunch and enjoy it with some of our award-winning wine. Other than our ancient/old vines, we also have been noted in various press releases such as Sacramento Magazine for utilizing the ancient UNESCO recognized Georgian Claypot (Qvevri) Method of winemaking used for 8,000 years in the Republic of Georgia where the owner originally hails from. On top of rare Georgian grape varietals, and high-quality local varietals being made in the Oldworld Qvevri method, Story features more than 20 other local varietals (many of them award winners) Amador is famous for, such as old-vine zinfandels, barbera, syrah, and much more! We can't wait to host you so come check out Story Winery and write your own magical story!
Literary Secrets of Sacramento
We will meet up in the old City Cemetery and I’ll fill you in on some of the well known writers who have wandered through Sacramento literary history. We can either sit in the shade of the trees and I will regale you with stories, or we can tour in my car the various landmarks related to Raymond Carver, Ernest Hemingway, Joan Didion, and more. Whichever one is more comfortable for you is fine. You’ll see where Maya Angelou liked to relax with a glass of wine, where a 50s suburban housewife churned out lesbian romance novels (which now have a huge cult following)and where the love letters of JD Salinger were plagiarized. Sacramento has been the host of many a surprising literary occurrence...
