Please note this tiny studio apartment is completely self reliant. Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations . A renovated very tiny (hole in the wall) studio with ensuite. Situated at the bottom of a terrace house, overlooking one of the best surf breaks in Newcastle. The break is only 3 minutes from the studio. All linen and essentials are provided. Close to beach, shopping, restaurants and public transport.
The surf shack is a compact studio with terrific views over the ocean and the Cowrie hole surf break. This hole in the wall type of accomodation, is in the style of a “tiny house” and has all amenities in the one room. The ensuite and floor are tiled with marble. The bathroom is separated from the main space by a frosted shower screen. The black oversized tap allows to easily fill the kettle or wash the dishes. There is a heated towel rack to dry your towels, a full length mirror and hair dryer. The kitchenette has a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, glasses, cutlery and crockery. Tea, coffee, milk are provided. The sleep nook has a double bed comfortable for 2 people with 4 pillows and spare blanket under the bed. The studio has a private entrance. Being a historic terrace there are steps to negotiate. (13).from the street level to the studio.

This is a one-bedroom apartment, with a queen size bed in the bedroom. There is a fold out king size futon in the lounge room, which can sleep up to two extra guests. Please note curtains in the lounge room are not sun blocking. Please specify in your correspondence if you'd like to use the futon, so additional linen can be provided. There will be an additional $20 charge when using the futon when less than three guests are staying. There is a brand new combination washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. For parking there is metered parking on the street in front of the apartment which is FREE after 5pm weekdays, after 1pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday. There is FREE all day parking 200m walk away up the hill on Watt Street or there is a paid public parking garage on Bolton Street. Wifi is available for your convenience.   • Við gistum í 3 daga og óskum þess að við hefðum getað dvalið lengur. Mikil gestrisni, ótrúlegur staðsetning og íbúðin var mjög hrein og hafði allt sem við þurftum plús mörg gagnleg ráð um hvað ætti að gera og hvar á að borða á svæðinu. Það er auðvelt aðgengi að ströndinni og fallegu útsýni frá svölunum þar sem við fengum að koma auga á nokkra hvali og höfrunga. Við skemmtum okkur konunglega og mælum mjög með að vera hér!

    This listing is the cheapest in the city itself last time I looked. Its right in the middle of the city not a suburb or more away. There is NO CLEANING FEE. Unless u don’t clean up the kitchen according to the house rules there is a wifi camera recording in the kitchen $15 fee will be charged for each meal when u don’t finish cleaning the kitchen. This place is within walking distance to every thing this city has to offer. Please note that u are SHARING the common areas with 2 other bedrooms I live on-site in detached studio out the back if you need advice. If you expect 5 star experience for a 2 star price you will not get it here, please go somewhere else. I don't offer PERFECTION I offer a good room in a great location for a very affordable rate I clean once a day fresh linen between guests. This is not a hotel there is no cleaner waiting to clean up after you. AIRBNB expect 5 star review 100% of the time, this listing has been blocked 4 times this year (owing to dropping below 4.5% this is because some mean spirited guests that did not give 5 stars) then guests who may desperately need a place to stay(up to 10pm instant book)that they can afford cannot do so, so I say again if you are super fussy type with unreasonable expectation for this type of listing please go somewhere else I would like to stay in business. If it is a swim, surf, a stroll through the bustling Darby Street, or even just a relaxing coffee reading the paper at a local café, then this is the place for you. The terrace is an open plan living and dining with Oregon hardwood flooring, ornate Victorian fireplace, brick feature walls, original brass hardware, ceiling fans in all rooms and a new skylight to capture natural light. The kitchen is newly renovated with a breakfast bar, gas cooking, stainless steel appliances and everything you could possibly need. Upstairs has two bedroom, the master bedroom opens onto a private balcony through Cedar sliding doors. The rooms both have new carpet, cupboards and equipped with new luxurious sheets, doonas, blankets and beach towels. The opening shelving also has a wide variety of books. The bedding configurations are: - 1 new Queen bed in Master bedroom - 1 new Queen bed in second bedroom - 1 portable cot, and bedrails available for the bed The newly renovated bathroom has a shower over bath with Victorian wall tiles, and is equipped with fluffy bath towels. On the days you wish to lounge around, you will find the living space has a flat screen TV, wireless internet, and a Nintendo WII U. There is also rear lane access to our private courtyard for the option of off-street parking with a roller garage door. We have two young children and understand the difficulty travelling with kids! In our terrace we have plastic cutlery and plates, sippy cups, portable cot, bedrail, beach tent, books, toys, baby shampoo and bath wash. Please note there are internal stairs
    The terrace is a 2 bedroom newly renovated victorian style terrace with new furniture new bathroom and kitchen. Beds are comfy, pillows are comfy. Gas heating, ceiling fans In bedrooms, dinning and living room. Parking available at the back of the property for small to medium sized car.

    This is a beautiful little self contained bungalow located at the back of my house. You will have everything you need for a comfortable and unique stay in this (very!) light-filled space. All the windows are leadlight and the soaring window at the front (from a 100 year old church in the Hunter Valley) adds to the distinctive charm. You will have your own access. You can park in the driveway or on the street (unrestricted on weekends and after hours. Otherwise its a 2hr limit)
    You are welcome to use anything in the fridge and pantry, and there will be an abundance of breakfast provisions. I’m sure you will be tempted by the glorious cooking smells which waft in from Darby st every afternoon though!
    Cooks Hill is a heritage listed suburb with a very interesting history so even if you don't venture further afield, the streets in this neighborhood are very picturesque. Darby street (the next street over) is the most popular cafe district in Newcastle and there are plenty of beautiful clothes and gift shops as well. We are also lucky to be surrounded by art galleries. The Newcastle Art Gallery is right at the end of this street and there are other private galleries right in this area. If you do feel like walking or riding a bike (there are lots of bike hire places, or you can borrow mine), there are a lot of great areas to explore. Bar Beach is only a 15 minute walk away and is a beautiful example of the amazing beaches we have here. Beach towels, beach umbrellas and sunscreen are all provided. If you go there at lunch time Swell kiosk makes great food. You can walk up the hill from Bar Beach to historic King Edward Park and while you're there have a dip in the Bogie Hole. In the other direction is the (working) harbor where you can sit and watch the ships coming in. If you feel like a walk from there, you can walk right along to the lighthouse, and out along the breakwall. If it's the right time of year you may spot some whales, otherwise there are often dolphins in the harbor. There are heaps of cafes, bars and restaurants in that area so it is certainly a great place to be at night-time as well. For things you might need, there is a corner shop just around the corner, and Aldi supermarket is a 5min walk. There is also a chemist on Darby street. There is a big shopping centre (Market-town) about a 15min walk away where you will find two supermarkets, medical centre, chemists, bottle shops, and loads of other shops.

    In the heart of Newcastle is this private, secluded garden oasis suite. Two immaculately presented modern rooms and only ten minutes stroll to popular Darby street cafes/ dining and beaches and to the Bathers Way walk to Newcastle/Mereweather/Bogie hole bathing. Also close to expansive King Edward park, Anzac Walk and Strezlecki Lookout, historic obelisk and the V8 super cars’ track.
    Two substantial private rooms in a charming house situated on The Hill above Newcastle. The rooms are not shared and it is your own private space. The first room is used for dining and for a rollaway or airbed, if there is a third guest. Ideally the suite is best suited to couples but an extra person can be accommodated in the first room. We don't recommend more than three guests. There is a smart television (with Netflix) and wi fi in the double sized main bedroom complete with luxury leather lounge chairs and a queen bed. A single rollaway bed can be set up in the other room. If a larger extra bed is require we have the option of a queen airbed. The accomodation has either unrestricted street parking or off street parking in our driveway for small to medium cars and a separate private entrance. There is a kitchenette, shower and toilet, and a separate dining area in the first room flowing onto beautiful, private patio with barbecue facilities. Both the rooms have their own entry doors. Tea/coffee are provided along with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave but kindly note there are no indoor cooking facilities such as a cooktop or oven. This accomodation will ideally suit guests who like independent dining and planning short stays. Privacy/comfort and host support is a focus. Breakfast supplies are provided at no charge and there is also a well stocked mini bar at an extra nominal charge.
    Anzac Walk is 100 metres away for whale watching or viewing Bar Beach and the coastline. Historic King Edward Park is one street away as well as the Bogey Hole set at the base of the cliffs for those intrepid swimmers. Walk down to Newcastle Beach, Fort Scratchley and Nobby’s Beach and the historic east end of “Newie”
