There is a ton of natural light from the windows that have lovely views of the lawns and shade trees surrounding the area. Open the double patio doors to your semi-private terrace to find a natural gas BBQ grill and table, perfect for an evening cookout as you enjoy the soothing sounds of spring water flowing nearby. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and dishes. All appliances are provided, including a microwave, 4-burner gas range with full-size oven, and large refrigerator with bottom freezer and ice maker. Plenty of cabinets and countertop space make cooking easy. Your whole group can gather for meals around the big dining table, with chair seating for 6. A snack bar with 4 dining stools provides additional dining space. Completing the downstairs level is a half-bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find 2 large bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own private, en-suite bathroom; with a full tub/shower. The bedrooms share a south-facing balcony, with views of the Colorado River Portal across the valley. The Master bedroom has a King bed, full bathroom, vaulted ceilings, a flat-screen TV and large windows. You will swoon over the balcony that overlooks a beautiful meadow, stream, large Cottonwood trees, and the Colorado River Portal. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and twin bed, a full bathroom, vaulted ceilings and large windows. You'll love stepping out onto the balcony each night to watch the stunning Moab sunsets. This unit also provides a front-loading washer and dryer and a covered carport with space to park 2 automobiles. Parking for large rigs is available in a designated area of the resort. Private Bed/Bath in family home. Only a few miles from downtown Moab. Great base for trips to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks as well as other locations in the great Moab area. Room comes furnished with all amenities for a comfortable stay and includes a private bathroom. Large common area is open to guests and includes sitting area and full kitchen to make Moab your home away from home.
Prickly Pear is 1 of 3 rooms in the Comfy Cactus. It includes a private en suite bathroom for the guests. Main living and dining areas are shared with other guests. I’m a Moab native born and raised and I’m more than happy to answer any questions I can about itineraries and all the opportunities for adventure that Moab has to offer. I live on site and will do my best to make sure all guests are comfortable and can be easily reached by telephone.

  • Frábært einkaherbergi um 5-10 mín utan miðbæ Moab. Staðurinn var mjög hreinn og það var gott að hafa aðgang að fullbúnu eldhúsi til að hjálpa með máltíðir.     Stay in family home nestled in quiet Moab neighborhood. Only a few miles from downtown Moab. Great base for trips to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks as well as other locations in the great Moab area. This room has it's own private bathroom just across the hallway from the room. Large common area is open to all guests and includes sitting area and full kitchen to make Moab your home away from home.
    The Juniper room is 1 room of 3 in the home. The bathroom is across the hall from the room, but it's a private bathroom for your convenience when you book the room. I’m a Moab native born and raised and I’m more than happy to answer any questions I can about itineraries and all the opportunities for adventure that Moab has to offer. I live on site and will do my best to make sure all guests are comfortable and can be easily reached by telephone.

  • Frábært staðsetning - fimm mínútna eða minna akstur frá miðbænum. Hverfið er líka rólegt. Sylvia tilkynnti vel með okkur og við áttum nú í vandræðum að komast í húsið og komast inn í herbergið. Heimilið og herbergið var hreint og skreytt mjög hreint. Það er fullt eldhús sem er aðgengilegt fyrir gesti og það var svo gaman að hafa það í boði.     This little gem is nestled on the east side of Moab, just a few yards from lush Rotary Park and the road leading up to the famous Slickrock Recreation Area. Restrictions on short term rentals keep the neighborhood quiet. (Incidentally, if you book for the minimum 5 nights, it can't be rented out again to somebody else for 25 nights! This is a unique opportunity.) Guests have access to the everything – garage, living space, kitchen, bathroom, grounds, laundry, bedroom (minus the master bedroom.)
    I've lived in the Moab area for 15 years. I will not insert myself into your vacation, but I'll happily provide local beta and suggestions if asked. As a rock climber, runner, biker, canyoneerer, hiker, and hunter, I have traversed many of Moab's nooks and crannies. I'm low-key and friendly, and I work most weekdays 10-6; I'm out playing or rock climbing with friends every chance I get.
    Since the town is so compact, everything in Moab is pretty close, but especially close are: Rotary Park, access to the Slickrock Bike Trail, points south via Rt 191, Dave's Corner Market, Milt's Diner, the Millcreek Parkway (for walking or bike access to the rest of town without the need for autos or traffic), and the Power Dam area and Mill Creek.

  • Daniel er frábær gestgjafi! Frá því að ég tók fyrirvara voru samskiptin við Daníel frábær! Við sendum ekki aðeins upplýsingar um pöntunina heldur gaf hann mér fullt af upplýsingum til að hjálpa mér að skipuleggja ferð mína. Húsið hans er bjart, hlýtt, velkomið og hreinn. Daniel lagði til hliðar hillu í skáp og hillu í ísskáp til notkunar minnar. Herbergið er stórt, með skáp og kommóða. Húsið hans er mjög þægilegt í bænum. Daniel elskar Móab virkilega og nýtir sér allt sem það hefur uppá að bjóða reglulega, sem þýðir að hann þekkir alla staðina sem á að fara. Reyndar fór ég í eina gönguferð og einn akstur sem ég hefði aldrei fundið sjálfur. Hann gæti verið fararstjóri og hann er mjög örlátur með tíma sinn og bækur og kort til að gera heimsókn þína sem besta. Næst þegar ég fer til Moab ætla ég að bóka hjá honum aftur. Ef þú ert að hugsa um að bóka hjá Daniel, gerðu það bara! Þú verður ekki fyrir vonbrigðum!

  • Við áttum yndislega viku hjá Daníel, húsið hans er staðsett nálægt miðbænum og það er yndislega skuggalegt sem er gagnlegt í ágúst. Það er 15 mínútna akstur að inngangi Arches, frábært til gönguferða snemma morguns eða seinnipartinn að glápa og það hefur greiðan aðgang að La Sal fjöllum og Canyonlands, og það er klukkutími til Indian Creek. Þó að það hafi verið hitinn í sumar gaf Daniel okkur persónulegar ráðleggingar um hvenær best væri að skoða bestu svæðin og ganga bestu gönguleiðir á svæðinu. Hann hefur gríðarlega mikla þekkingu á staðnum fyrir allt úti. Hann er safnari af göngukortum og leiðsögubókum fyrir allar athafnir sem okkur var velkomið að nota. Okkur leið vel heima og hann var mjög tjáskiptur, passaði að loka okkur ekki út :) Við höfðum mjög gaman af því að hanga með Daníel þegar leiðir okkar fóru yfir, hann er góður, vingjarnlegur og skemmtilegur gestgjafi sem hefur svo ástríðu fyrir útiverunni.     Our place is close to family-friendly activities. You’ll love our place because of the coziness and the location; it's good for couples or solo adventurers. You have a private entrance to the room by the side of the house, a key-less entry with a unique code, mini fridge with a small freezer, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, tea, condiments and several essentials. We're usually home at some point of the day so if you need something that we don't provide already, just let us know.
    The room has a comfy queen-size bed to give you a great night sleep and start your day on the right track. You won't have access to the rest of the house but you will have several essentials including a small table and chairs, microwave, mini fridge with a small freezer, coffee maker, ceramic cups, coffee and filters, tea, creamer, sugar and other sweeteners, salt and pepper, plastic dishes and plastic ware, plastic cups, napkins and paper towels. Of course, we provide fresh sheets and towels, shampoo, shower gel and lotion. The room has a large closet with hangers and a large bench to place your suitcase. For 2018 reservations: we will have a Roku player and you will have access to internet TV but not cable TV.
    We live within walking distance from the Spanish Trail Arena, about 1 mile from a Shell station, and about 5 from downtown Moab. Most of the houses in our neighborhood are also nightly rentals. PLEASE NOTE: our place is within County limits. There is not an established “noise ordinance” in the County, so it could be noise and not much we can do about it. Usually “quiet times” are from 10 pm to 7 am. If there’s any loud noises, outside this window, please let us know and we will call the Sheriff. They’re pretty good at coming to take care of the issue.

    My home is what's known as a "timber frame" which I built myself in the quiet north-end of town near the Matheson Wetlands Preserve and a short distance from the entrance to Arches Nat'l Park. The master bedroom occupies the upstairs portion of the house and has a magnificent view of "The Portal". Note that the bedroom is not "walled off" as such from the downstairs, i.e. there is no locking door upstairs due to the nature of the home and the way the heating/cooling system works.
    As I mentioned in the basic description, the structure of my home is what's known as a "Timber Frame" which I built about 20 years ago. The joinery is all "mortise and tenon" and held together by wooden pegs or "trunnels" (tree-nails). It's the same way barns etc. have been built for hundreds of years. The timbers are all native ponderosa pine and spruce from the now defunct sawmill in La Sal. I've also built a lot of my homes furnishings.
    The entire town of Moab is quite unique...I probably don't need to tell you that. We're about 100 miles from Grand Junction and 250 from Salt Lake City; the nearest population centers. On the other hand, Moab is so majestically isolated that you could literally go on a different hike every day for the rest of your life and still not see it all.

  • Ef þú ert að leita að rólegum stað til að gista í friðsælu hverfi skammt frá Hwy 191 við norðurenda Moab þá er staður Johns frábær kostur. Það er nógu langt í burtu frá ysinu við að vera rétt í bænum, en mjög stuttur akstur til að fara í bæinn í kvöldmat, versla osfrv. Auðvelt aðgengi að fara út úr bænum til Hwy 128, Arches NP, Potash Road, Canyonlands NP og Dead Horse Point SP Einnig mjög nálægt Kane Creek Road. Svaf mjög vel á einkaloftinu. Eina bilunin er sú að þú verður að ganga niður stigann til að komast í baðherbergið, en ekki mikið mál í nokkrar nætur.

    Our little 600sqft cozy and unique cottage in downtown Moab is charming 'Moab Style' at it's best and during the times our friends and family aren't occupying it, we decided we'd like to share our simple little gem with you. We hope that we provided everything you might need during your stay. We opted for no TV, because, and you probably know, Moab is a place with spectacular views! (If there is a game you need to watch simply walk across the street to Club Rio, or, if you have 4 minutes to spare, to other venues on Main Street). The advantageous location comes with possible nightlife noises on the weekends. We are "dog" people and understand how difficult it is to leave your friend at home. We allow one dog and our pet fee is $10/night/pet. To ensure that all guests have an enjoyable stay, we ask pet parents to agree to the following Pet Policy before booking one of our pet friendly cottages: I have read and agreed to the following Pet Policy and I promise that: My pet is not aggressive; up to date with vaccinations and is well socialized with other animals and with other people. My pet is free of ticks and fleas. My pet will be with me under my care at all times. My pet will be on a leash and under my control when outside. I will clean up after my pet and dispose of any waste. I will keep my pet off of all furniture including the bed, chairs or couches. I will assume financial responsibility for any damage caused by my pet during my stay.
    Our Cottage is smack in the middle of town; home of many businesses, restaurants, City Hall, the County Bldg, the Museum of Moab and the Moab Information Center. However the west end, the end where our cottage is located at, is mainly residential lodging, which makes this place very quiet (not that Moab is loud to begin with, but you know...) for being right in town. It's a culde-sac, so no thru traffic. Kitty corner to the cottage is Club Rio, one of the (two) bars here in town.
