“Amazing Italian restaurant - try the meatballs as an appetizer and pretty much any pasta on the menu is amazing. :) If the weather is nice, you can ask to be seated in the open outdoor patio in the back. This place is good for groups of 2-3 people max and there is often a short wait, but it's worth the wait and it's a nice area to walk around in to kill time. :)”

“There are plenty of great brunch places on the UES to sit outside on a sunny day and do some great people watching. Café d’Alsace is definitely one of them. It is a popular upscale French brunch spot with a lovely ambiance. The Belgian waffle, topped with fresh strawberries, strawberry coulis, whipped cream, and organic maple syrup, is a favorite order for many. Café d’Alsace also serves dinner and the top dish for many is the Steak Frites—certified price hanger steak served with red wine sauce, brown marrow, and French fries. “Even tastier when you match it with a beer from its beer list,” says Triplemint Agent Brad Lauren.”

“Anyone you've ever heard talking about NY bagels was talking about H&H (though perhaps their now-closed midtown location). They were even briefly Kramer's employer on Seinfeld - fun fact.”

“First a juice bar and vitamin shop, Candle Cafe transformed into a juice bar and vegetarian cafe with soups, sandwiches, salads, and entrees served at spacious wooden tables. All the food is locally sourced, sustainable, eco-friendly and animal friendly—you can also go gluten-free here. Their sandwiches rival the best meat sandwiches out there. I go for the Mediterranean wrap with hummus, grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, arugula, falafel, whole tortilla, mesclun salad, and lemon-tahini dressing.”
