“If you've never been to LA this is probably a place worth checking out. It is a very eclectic neighborhood, great for people watching with some good bars/restaurants to explore. Venice Ale house is a solid spot! Venice is also right next to Santa Monica (easy to explore both in one day!)”

“A vintage and vinyl lover's utopia. LA's newest trendy area. Recommend walking up and down York and Figueroa for the best shopping, coffee, authentic LA food trucks, and mixology cocktails.”

“This downtown is a perfect blend of old and new. Restaurants aplenty, from fast food to top end and everything in between. There is a movie multiplex (Arclight), a vintage hotel with bar and music and, yes Virginia, there is a Starbucks. The Kirk Douglas Theater is part of the Los Angeles Center Theater Group and often has tickets for it's current productions. Some of our favorites: Rush Street (for a quieter experience sit outside), inside and out the bar food is great and the bar is hopping. Chicas Tacos, Cauliflower/Mushroom tacos are fabulous. Our favorite breakfast place (good for lunch and dinner too), Cafe Vida. See the food section for more downtown eateries. ”

“Start out at the Dresden (1760 N Vermont Ave) and there's plenty more restaurants and bars around it. Also, from here you can walk into Griffith Park.”

“Very affluent and laid back atmosphere on the clean streets of this historical city, home to the FOX Moviehouse, and The Crest, two landmarks in the heart of Westwood Village. All newly released Hollywood movies are presented here, with the Red carpet, and you can be part of it. I will guide you for a fee, for 6 hours around UCLA, and the Hammer Museum, as well as to see Marilyn Monroe's Vault. Exciting and impressive.”

“The Pacific Palisades is an affluent residential neighborhood tucked between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Temescal Gateway Park offers hiking trails with sweeping coastline views, and the sandy Will Rogers State Beach provides access to a 22-mile beachfront bike path. Landmarks include the sumptuous Getty Villa museum showcasing Greek and Roman antiquities, and the mid-century modern Eames House.”

“Rent a bike, and bike till Venice Beach. But don’t leave your bike unattended! Great people watching and beautiful beach. Also fun to walk along 3rd Street Promenade. Or Main Street for a more local scene. ”

“Manhattan/Hermosa Beach are cute beach communities with great shopping and some of the best beaches in LA! Take a stroll on the strand to have some incredible ocean views while walking along some of the most beautiful houses in the area. There are some amazing restaurants with bars around here worth exploring. El Sombrero has great Mexican food. MB Post for an eclectic moderately priced dinner that is very delicious! Wahoos fish tacos for the best fish tacos around Strand House has excellent views (but the food is just ok) Hermosa Beach has great food options as well like Tower 12! Hermosa is a bit of a younger community with a bit more bar/party scene if that is something you are looking for!”
