“There is a wide selection of places to eat in St. Andrews but one of my favourites is a restaurant called Forgans, here you will be able to sample traditional Scottish dishes and the atmosphere and decor is wonderful. Also, every Saturday night they host a traditional Scottish Ceilidh, think of it like a Scottish barn dance with traditional music and dancing, don’t worry they will teach you the moves and you will have brilliant fun! This is from 10:30pm so you could really make some amazing Scottish memories in a beautiful setting with great food and even better local drinks! You will need to book in advance though because it is really popular with tourists and locals alike.”

“Get a ticket to access both the Castle and Cathedral. At the cathedral you will receive a token to give access to St Rules Tower, from the top you have a great birds eye view of St Andrews.”

“Balgove is a hot with locals. It’s located on a farm on the right just before you arrive in St. Andrews by car. The food is fantastic ... I recommend their scones with Balgove Jam they are to die for! It can sometimes be really busy (especially at the weekend) so prepare for a short wait for a table. The farm shop and butcher is also a great place to pick up some homemade treats and lovely gifts.”

“The Adamson is perfect if you are looking for something a little more refined. The food is exquisite and worth the slightly higher price tag. You can also enjoy an aperitif or one for the road in their cozy cocktail bar just off of the the restaurant. Their cocktails are beautiful and their selection (and knowledge) of the finest Scottish Whisky on offer is unparalleled.”

“Beautiful and definitely one to go and see. Dunfermline is rather overlooked these days but as the old capitol of Scotland it has a very rich history. ”

“Tucked away in an alley behind the Scottish Fisheries Museum, the elegant and upmarket Cellar has been famous for its superb food and fine wines since 1982. The recipient of a Michelin star in 2015, it is at the top of its game, offering a creative menu built around Scottish seafood, lamb, pork and beef. Advance booking essential.”
