“The ruins of St. Andrews cathedral are well worth a visit. Stunning in themselves but if that doesn’t impress you enough just look at the stunning views off of the coast!”

“Falkland: (25 minute drive from Kinross) Falkland nestles between the two Lomond Hills in the Howe of Fife. It’s a quaint little village well known for Falkland Palace and gardens...more recently famous for appearing in the very popular Outlander series. As well as the Palace and gardens there’s lovely walks, boutique shops, cafes and pubs. There’s a lovely woodland walk (approximately 1 mile / 1.6 km) between Falkland and Pillars of Hercules Organic Farm Shop & Bistro where you will find fresh produce and delicious fresh organic food and home made baking. (Vegan & Gluten free options). www.visitscotland.com ”

“There is a wide selection of places to eat in St. Andrews but one of my favourites is a restaurant called Forgans, here you will be able to sample traditional Scottish dishes and the atmosphere and decor is wonderful. Also, every Saturday night they host a traditional Scottish Ceilidh, think of it like a Scottish barn dance with traditional music and dancing, don’t worry they will teach you the moves and you will have brilliant fun! This is from 10:30pm so you could really make some amazing Scottish memories in a beautiful setting with great food and even better local drinks! You will need to book in advance though because it is really popular with tourists and locals alike.”

“St Andrew's Castle is a ruin located in the coastal Royal Burgh of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The castle sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a small beach called Castle Sands and the adjoining North Sea. There has been a castle standing at the site since the times of Bishop Roger, son of the Earl of Leicester.”

“Balgove is a hot with locals. It’s located on a farm on the right just before you arrive in St. Andrews by car. The food is fantastic ... I recommend their scones with Balgove Jam they are to die for! It can sometimes be really busy (especially at the weekend) so prepare for a short wait for a table. The farm shop and butcher is also a great place to pick up some homemade treats and lovely gifts.”

“The Adamson is perfect if you are looking for something a little more refined. The food is exquisite and worth the slightly higher price tag. You can also enjoy an aperitif or one for the road in their cozy cocktail bar just off of the the restaurant. Their cocktails are beautiful and their selection (and knowledge) of the finest Scottish Whisky on offer is unparalleled.”

“Beautiful and definitely one to go and see. Dunfermline is rather overlooked these days but as the old capitol of Scotland it has a very rich history. ”
