Our flat is located at Porthtowan Beach, North Coast of Cornwall. The property overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, in a popular Cornish surfing location. Accommodation is for 4 & parking for 1 car. The price varies from £50 per night, depending on the season.
Our flat is located in the village of Porthtowan, a cove on the dramatic Atlantic coast of Cornwall. Porthtowan is in the World Heritage area between St.Agnes, Redruth and Portreath, as a resort there something for everybody; it has wide golden sands, spectacular sea & surf, rock pools, towering cliffs and a tidal swimming pool. There is also cliff walking, cycle trails and horse riding nearby. The Altantic waves make the beach a popular surfing destination and there is a surf school situated in the village. Porthtowan is a Blue Flag beach and is attended by RNLI lifeguards throughout the holiday months. Children play all day on the sand dunes overlooked by the flat and there is a river with little bridges and a playground close by. The flat is part of a complex of 20 flats built about thirty years ago, which also contains the renowned 'Blue Bar' bar/restaurant, an ice cream parlour, surf board & wet suit hire, beach shop, cafe and hair/beauty salon. The sunsets are stunning viewed from the terrace of the Blue Bar, or indeed from the balcony of No.12 Seaspray. Accommodation: Family beach flat overlooking sand dune, beach and cliffs. Compact, but sleeps up to 4 adults or children and 1 baby travel cot. There is easy access from a level path into the ground floor consisting of hallway, twin-bedded room, family bathroom and open-plan living/dining area including fitted kitchen and glass doors to the sea-facing balcony. Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.

You’ll love my place because of the wonderful views across open countryside, the spiral staircase and the tree growing through the balcony. It's as close as you can get to a treehouse with all the comforts of home. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Gorgeously romantic detached annex with stunning views across an area of outstanding natural beauty. Generously proportioned studio room with French doors to large private balcony with large tree growing through it. Spiral staircase to downstairs kitchenette and shower room. Access to beautiful shared garden which backs onto open fields. Sleeps 2 very comfortably. Self catering. It's on a tiny little lane with trees meeting over the road in places. There are lots of public footpaths including one that goes through next door's land and down through fields to the woods. Treetops is an ideal retreat or lovenest - it's wonderful space for getting away from it all and right into the countryside; to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature; to heal, create music or art or to study. It's very much a cosy country property rather than a stylish hotel setting but it's nicely and very comfortably furnished in rustic style. Horses clop along the lane outside and birdsong fills the air. There is a farmer along the lane who has equipment in use and large vehicles during the week sometimes so it's more reliably peaceful at weekends. There's a deck with a shared hot tub and a patio with a built-in barbecue and seating which you are welcome to use. Should you require a bottle of chilled champagne on arrival this can be arranged with the owner. Treetops has undergone major renovations recently, including a new balcony made of local Sussex oak by local craftsmen in the traditional Sussex style. The bathroom now has a new white suite with much bigger shower and a heated towel rail. Upstairs it has new carpet, curtains, rug, cushions, TV, mattress, pillows, linen, blinds, a power socket with USB points, a little dressing table with a mirror and hairdryer and a more romantic light above the bed. The kitchen has new quarry tiles on the floor, new worktops, sink, an integrated oven and glass hob and the washing machine, which has only been used 3 times in as many years, has been replaced with a dishwasher, which will hopefully get more use and make guests feel properly off-duty and relaxed! Speaking of additions to the garden to help people relax, the new hot tub spa is a wonderful place to wind down and de-stress. It's on a deck in the middle of the garden overlooking the fields and hills beyond for miles and it really is blissful. However, having read the instructions it's not suitable for children under 8 (for safety and hygiene reasons) and two new Shepherd Huts (Meadowsweet and Heartsease) have been built at the bottom of the garden for couples. To avoid disappointing people, especially children, and to ensure the shared facilities are not over-populated, the maximum number of guests allowed in Treetops is now 2 and they need to be adults. If you would like to book for a larger group of adults it is now possible to book Treetops, Heartsease and Meadowsweet at the same time. The owner is a music teacher and 2nd degree Reiki practitioner who lives in the main house with one child. Reiki treatments can be arranged during your visit and other therapists can visit to offer Aromatherapy massage and Reflexology sessions. (Please note that prior notice is needed and that sometimes staff are not available due to other commitments). Although smoking is not allowed inside, it is permitted on the balcony.
Herstmonceux is a lovely little Sussex village with a pub (the Brewers Arms), a French brasserie (The Sundial), a fish and chip shop that also does very good burgers, chicken, halloumi and pies (The Willows) and a really good Indian restaurant (Eastern Promise). We've got two convenience stores and a few other shops. It's about 15 mins walk to the village from Treetops. If you don't mind driving or longer walks, there are plenty of good pubs that serve excellent food within easy reach. The Merrie Harriers in Cowbeech is about a mile a half away and it's a favourite amongst locals - a very traditional pub with beams and ingelnook fireplaces, good food and beer and a lovely garden. The White Horse in Bodle Street is at the other end of the lane and does good pub food and has a nice atmosphere. The Bull's Head in Boreham Street (about a mile and a half) have a beautiful garden and do great food including excellent home made pies. The Lamb in Wartling (near the castle) is similar but more gourmet (and pricier) and the Giant's Rest (by the Long Man) is also very good after a walk through the countryside. Tucked away in historically rich 1066 country it is ideally located for walking, horse riding, cycling and painting. For nature lovers there is an abundance of local bird life and the nearby marshes and levels on the way to the beach at Pevensey (15 minutes by car), where there's another castle. 5 mins from the South Downs National Park it is within easy reach of Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Brighton, Ashdown (Pooh Bear) Forest and Forest Row Country Park. There is fishing at the local trout farm, golf, tennis, falconry, archery, pottery, the windmill at Windmill Hill, and of course, Herstmonceux Castle and the Science Centre and Observatory. You can go sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and paddleboarding from Eastbourne or Cuckmere. Flying experiences/lessons can also be booked locally. Other nearby attractions include Bateman's (Rudyard Kipling's house), the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, Michelham Priory, Standen House in East Grinstead (a treasure trove for lovers of the Arts and Crafts movement), Great Dixter House and Gardens in Northiam, Scotney Castle Garden in Lamberhurst, the White Horse at Alfriston and Long Man at Wilmington.

Situated at the bottom of a private drive in a quiet, picturesque and romantic location in the National Park under the darkest skies in Europe. The apartment boasts an incredible large open plan lounge, fully fitted kitchen and outstanding panoramic views. Double bedroom with a roll top bath and ensuite bathroom. Accessed via a separate entrance through a beautiful glass atrium with amazing views. Designed for pure relaxation and not suitable for party animals, children or pets.
The apartment sits on the first floor of a very unique building, has wonderful high ceilings and a huge open plan lounge. The house is called ‘The Library’ as it was originally used to house a collection of books for the lady who owned the buildings. There are three remaining book cases which where fitted in the 1940’s and these are shown in some of the pictures. The apartment has its own entrance and is entirely self contained and not shared with anyone. There is a garden at the rear of the house and this can be shared with other guests in the Little Star apartment.
We are in the National Park which is an area of outstanding beauty. It's tranquil, picturesque and there is no light pollution. The village pub called the Holly Bush is less than 10 minutes walk away. This is open every night from 4pm and and all day at the weekend. Food is served every night but please check the times as they vary with the seasons. Kielder observatory is 30 minutes away. There are wonderful walks straight from the door and terrific bike trails at Kielder. Hadrian’s wall, Rothbury, Alnwick and the coast are all accessible for day trips. Hexham and Corbridge are just 30 minutes drive. There are shops and a garage including a chemist and supermarket in Bellingham which is just a 10 minute drive.

The property is an incredibly bright, stylishly furnished one bedroom flat located in a very secure apartment building. The flat comfortably sleeps two, with a large bright kitchen/living area and has been furnished in a stylish and distinctive way and features large windows that offer spectacular views over the constantly changing skyline of Manchester city centre, I never tire of looking at it. I provide clean towels, toiletries and also tea, coffee, orange juice and biscuits in case you are feeling peckish on arrival
I love the fact this quirky colourful building is right beside several canals, which are full of houseboats, Canada Geese, cormorants and travelling barges. The neighbourhood itself is called Ancoats/New Islington, and was declared one of Britain's coolest neighbourhoods by the Sunday Times in March 2017. The whole area is transforming and is now full of restaurants, apartments, bars and creative industries which give it a real buzz. It is also right on the doorstep of the city centre and the Northern Quarter, Manchester's bohemian area, which is full of of vintage shops, galleries, inviting cafes, music venues and lively bars. And right beside the flat is a great local cafe Cafe Vivid and a great little theatre and bar called the Hope Mill Theatre - (URL HIDDEN) It is very close to the Velopark, home of the UK's unrivalled cycling team and also the home of Manchester City Football team, the Ethihad stadium One of the great things about living here is being able to watch the immediate area undergo a huge transformation with old buildings like Stubbs Mill being turned into a creative hub for start up companies as well as new developments like Urban Splash's HoUSe, all helping create a really distinctive neighbourhood. Among the places you should visit is Rudi's Pizzas which has been voted one of the best in the country.

Myself and Daniel clean and maintain the apartment personally to the highest standards and we use antibacterial treatments on all surface, particularly regularly touched areas. We are also laundering linen and towels at a high temperature of 90c. Hand wash is provided as always The apartment has Netflix/Tv and fast broadband suitable working from home or just play. The kitchen has all you need and a supermarket is literally 5 mins walk away. If you decide to venture out on foot, beautiful and quiet countryside and canal walks are just 5 mins away As we speak Bath and attractions and most restaurants and pubs remain open and should be lovely and quiet for once. This may change but the delivery services in Bath will happily bring the best local restaurant to your door. (We have an intercom so can be left at the door)

    The Breakers is ideally situated for easy exploration of Cornwall and South Devon. There are literally hundreds of beaches to choose from, ranging from wide expanses of soft sand to rocky stretches filled with enticing rock pools at low tide. A wide variety of Cornish villages await your visit, each with their own charm and history. Eden Project is 30 minutes away Truro is 45 minutes and Plymouth only 30 minutes if you need a touch of city life. Inland you have miles of moorland to explore. The area is rich in natural beauty, is steeped in history and contains something for everybody in the family. Numerous gardens and stately homes invite you to wander through their gates; activities for children and teenagers are plentiful too. There is excellent local theatre and music to fill your evenings. In addition there are many opportunities for adults to "play" with a wide range of watersports, fishing, walking and cycling all close by. You can walk directly out from the Breakers into woodland tracks which will lead you either to Seaton Country Park, or to the South West Coast path. There are a vast array of excellent eating opportunities so you will never go hungry if you don't fancy cooking for yourself! Or, of course, you can just recline on your sunlounger on the balcony soaking up the view, and relax........ . If you prefer a different type of soaking then the hot tub will be waiting for you.   • Gott rúm, fullkomið fyrir okkur og hundinn. Við elskaði heitur pottur og var gaman að slappa af í því eftir daginn að ganga og kanna. Við tókum eigin mat og drykk og vorum hissa á að öll nauðsynleg skilyrði væru veitt frá mjólk í ísskápnum til baðsloppanna. Við höfum mælt með vinum okkar fyrir fallega, rólega og afslappaða stað.

  • Þetta var frábær uppgötvun. Frábær sjávarútsýni (sem var jafnvel betra en myndirnar benda til). Það er svo gott lítið íbúð til að vera í. Það var hlýtt og mjög þægilegt. Vélarnir gætu ekki nægt til að tryggja að þú hafir góða dvöl, en á sama hátt haldið áfram. Þú vissir að þeir voru þarna en þeir trufluðu ekki á sama tíma. Þeir fengu það bara rétt. Þeir voru á hendi til að bjóða upp á nokkrar ábendingar og ráðgjöf. Við komum við með heitum scones með rjóma og sultu, og það var Prosecco í ísskápnum líka.     A one bedroom garden apartment on the ground floor offering open plan living, and a beautiful south facing garden. Refurbished recently, it is in excellent order, with exposed brick work and a walled garden. Flat screen 32" TV with Freeview and Sky Satellite TV, and free WIFI throughout the flat. I think you'll find yourself feeling at home! What to expect in the apartment - all the kitchen appliances you'll need including dishwasher, washing machine, separate dryer, fridge, wine cooler (of course!), gas hob and hood, electric oven and microwave! Fully equipped kitchen with dining table and chairs. The bedroom will ensure you get a great nights sleep with a king size bed (150cm wide) with pocket sprung mattress (they're the really comfy ones!), feather down pillows and duvet, bedside tables and lights. The apartment is cleaned thoroughly by Maddy my cleaner, and I have recently made a switch to mostly environmental products so we can all do our bit! Anything else you may wish to know? Well, there is wooden and hard flooring throughout the apartment with underfloor heating in bedroom. Suntrap garden with BBQ, night lighting and outdoor seating! Sofa bed in the living room for extra guests, and a travel cot, proper cot mattress and bedding for your little one! Safe for your valuables and passports, if you feel you need it (I don't!). This apartment is purely for Airbnb guests, I don't live there (I live in the sticks with my husband and animals!) so it is set up to have everything you need but without all my clutter (I do stay there from time to time for meeting up with London friends, and just to check it's all running OK!). Area - located close to Fulham Broadway, walking distance to Earls Court and the Old Brompton Rd, this sunny garden apartment gives easy access to the delights of South Kensington and Chelsea (but without paying the prices)! An abundance of pubs and restaurants close by. Fulham is a wealthy and desirable area of London with a lively social scene, lots of excellent pubs, small restaurants and bistros. I provide a local guide to the area (after living in Fulham for 10 years) and beyond. Closest tubes are West Brompton and Fulham Broadway (District / green line) - 0.4 miles making it too easy to explore London. Also a mainline station which is excellent for quick access to Gatwick airport, Westfields shopping centre, trips to Richmond-upon-Thames and getting in and out of London. Earls Court tube is 0.6 miles away. Lots of buses - details below. Sporting venues nearby include - Stamford Park Chelsea football ground - 10 minutes walk Craven Cottage Fulham football ground - 20 minute walk Wimbledon All England Tennis Club - 6 tube stops southbound on the District line Twickenham Rugby Stadium - 10 minute walk to West Brompton station, 10 minute train to Clapham Junction, change there, and then 30 minutes to Twickenham. Enjoy a fresh coffee, a lovely lunch or supper in one of the deli's, a frozen yoghurt or a manicure on the pedestrianised Vanston Place - just 4 minutes from the apartment! Three good nearby parks: South Park, Eel Brook Common and Brompton Park Cemetery. Really easy access to larger central parks such as Hyde Park.     My place is a beautiful, light, one-bedroom maisonette right next to Dane Park. It is situated 5 minutes taxi ride from the train station, and is about the same time to the beach (20 minutes walk). The apartment is newly renovated with modern fixtures, including a brand new kitchen diner with an open space living room. Upstairs boasts a large victorian bathroom with a huge freestanding bath, jack and jill twin basins and stunning 200 year old floorboards. Not one to miss!
    One of it's most redeeming features is the unique wooden cladding on the walls and a barn door which leads into the open kitchen area. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and a small library of books to peruse. Hire bikes and explore the town, and the surrounding areas such as the Viking trail, Botany Bay, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. These beaches are sandy and are accompanied by great white cliffs, which make for scenic rides and stunning picnic settings. Margate is currently the UK's most up-and-coming and talked about seaside town with attractions such as; Margate's large sandy beach, Dreamland, Shell Grotto (6 mins walk), cafes (Cliffs cafe and Fort's are favourites) boutique shops in the old town, old pubs, a museum, and much more all within walking/cycling distance of the flat! GB Pizza Co. on the beach at sunset is a must! **Please note there is no shower it is a bath only- guests are advised to leave plenty of time for bathing. Any excuse to share a bath with a glass of wine of an evening!

My flat is richly decorated which reflects the work that I do as a Textile Artist. Football: Emirates Stadium is a 20 mins walk away. or Movie Fans; At the back of St Pancras Station ( Batman Begins 2005) is Somerstown, featured in the film of the same name. Chaplin 1992 and countless films were filmed by the canal there, which has now been opened up for visitors and has a new street food market and a brilliant music venue called Kings Place. The Spice Girls filmed in the now magnificent St Pancras Hotel -- well worth a visit. All 8 Harry Potter films were filmed at Kings Cross Station so fans will want to visit platform 9 and 3/4 - ask anyone where it is. Alfie, Breaking and Entering, Nanny Mcfee 2 were filming in that area as well as Regents Park, Primrose Hill, Regents Canal. Camden has been filmed in numerous times. And Robert Downey Jn had his photo taken right outside my front door for Sherlock Holmes. And I missed it...     ROUND THE CORNER: I live on a main road just down from a small high street with basic shops and cafes in it. If you want West End stores then my local bus takes you right to Oxford St in 20 minutes. There are buses near me for all the major sights of London as well as the tube, Camden Town. By my home there are 3 supermarkets, organic butchers, an Earth Store, 2 book shops, one of the first cycle shops in London, a pharmacy, ATM and Post Office, 3 train stations, and a great vegetable stall, ** There are 3 good local restaurants and more. IN WALKING DISTANCE: Camden is a vibrant area with many different cultures and creeds. This is reflected in the street life. We have a farmers market, boutiques, cafes, coffee houses, the Jazz Cafe, a Cinema, the Jewish Museum, welcoming pubs and small restaurants, thriving night clubs and a ground - breaking music scene, as well as charming neighbourhoods and easy access to London's Museums. I have lived in this area for over 27 years and still love it. *7 mins - Welcome to Camden Market packed with 100s of stalls, that receives over a 100 thousand people each weekend. This colourful street market is world famous and provides a glimpse of all of London's many tribes and fashions. *8 mins walk along Regents Canal to London Zoo and Primrose Hill with one of the best views of london. It has also featured in many films. *12 mins walk to Regents Park which has an open air theatre, cafes, walks and events. *23 mins you can walk to the British Library (next door to St Pancras Station) with the exquisite Treasures Room, 14 million books, cafes, exhibitions, and a huge statue of Newton thinking about gravity.

  • Ég skipulagði þessa mjög sérstöku ferð með syni mínum og ég hreifst af myndunum í skráningu Tessa. Við urðum ekki fyrir vonbrigðum. Rýmið er frábært! Skreytt frá gólfi til lofts með list og efemera. Þó að útlitið sé skemmtilegt, þá skiptir raunverulega máli að íbúðin er mjög hrein og fullbúin með öllu sem þú gætir þurft, þar á meðal frábært eldhús, þvottavél og fallegt bað. Það er virkilega fín ganga til Camden Town og við komum skemmtilega á óvart hve okkur líkaði Kentish Town, sem er enn nær. Við borðuðum á nokkrum stöðum í nágrenninu og elskuðum virkilega Ramo Ramen og Guanabana, bæði í eigu sama fólks. Bar sem heitir The Dev við lokka var líka góður tími. Tess kenndi mér vinsamlega hvernig á að nota þvottavél, sem er erfitt fyrir útlendinga að skilja. Herbergið er bjart í hvaða veðri sem er. Útsýnið yfir garðinn er hið besta og hann er rólegur án hljóðs í bílnum. Það var líka sætur íkorna. Ég sé stundum lestina, en mér dettur ekki í hug hljóðið. Lestarbarnið var glatt.

Staðsetningin var frábær vegna þess að við vildum fá stað aðeins frá ferðamannastöðum til að hvíla okkur. Elskaði að við gátum líka gert þvott.

Börnin þrjú í húsinu mínu elskuðu þetta rými og nutu þess á hverjum degi. Þegar þú ferð niður í rýmið fyrir neðan hringinn gætir þú orðið svolítið fyrir vonbrigðum í upphafi vegna núverandi inngangs, en þú verður fljótt undrandi yfir því frábæra rými sem þú kemur inn í og hittir. Þó að það sé ekki miðstöð Lundúna, þá geturðu fengið aðgang að miðstöðinni í gegnum Kill Translation og Queenspark Station. Við notuðum oft Tesco nálægt Kil Translation.

Tess hefur veitt aukalega, umhugsunarverða snertingu eins og ráðleggingar um veitingastaði, sápur og sjampó, kaffitúpa og eldhús með virkilega fullbúnum búnum. Tess var mjög snertanleg meðan á dvöl okkar stóð og kom jafnvel aftur snemma úr fríinu til að hreinsa upp fyrir okkur eftir vatnsleka. Mjög mjög mælt með stað til að gista!

    Inside - All rooms are spacious - The Kitchen includes a washing machine / dishwasher / Microwave - Oven - Grill / 4no gas hob with all cooking facilities, plates, dishes including Tea, coffee & fresh milk. The living area has a double Settee & a single Cosy chair, TV (Freeview), DVD player, Coal effect fire and access to free wifi (Single bed provided here if 3 staying). The Bedroom area has a double bed, wardrobes, drawers and bedside table leading to an Ensuite with Power Shower (Sorry no bath), WC and basin. Outside - Patio, lawn, bistro table and 3 chairs to enjoy the relaxation sounds of the Stream and views of the abundence of Wildlife opposite in the gill. Our sheep often graze the field directly outside the Kitchen windows as well as the field opposite. Stabling for ponies are available, please contact the host for charges.
    It's a great location for walking, there is a footpath which takes you down to the river (approx 15 mins) without having to go on busy main roads, and there you'll find the Cumbria Way with peaceful riverside paths. During the 15 minute walk you can take in the views to the Pennines & Scotland. We have some laminated walking information at the property as well as plenty of Lake District books and Maps to give you some ideas to get started. There are handy back roads locally for cycling (CTC route within half a mile). There is a village store/Post Office/pub restaurant 2 miles from the property also lots of other good pubs and cafes between 2 and 10 miles away.

    Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
    If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer.We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know.     A Unique and lovingly renovated apartment, within very close proximity to all beaches in St.Ives. With its own outside space that catches the sun all day and late into the evening. Its the perfect peaceful,relaxing and romantic spot in lovely St.Ives
    No.7 Teetotal Street, is a lovely place to reside in St.Ives, somewhere to relax and enjoy! It’s a listed residence and a part of an incredibly old and historical Area in the town called 'Downalong' this is traditionally where the fishermen and their families lived and stored their tackle and nets. WITH ITS VERY OWN OUTSIDE SPACE (rare in St.Ives) that gets sunlight from morning until late evening. I have tried to create a little sanctuary with plants and seating space for you to enjoy. The location; nestled within a small but perfectly formed, quiet traditional St.Ives street that’s very close to almost everything you would need to access to enjoy your stay, from beaches to restaurants, shops and walking routes out onto the beautiful cliff paths and The island. It really is the perfect spot. Coming through the traditional barn style front door, you have a FULLY Equip KITCHEN, with complementary, Tea, sugar and coffee, complete with breakfast bar, should you not want to utilize the huge amount of restaurants to your disposal when considering your dining options. THE TELEVISION is on a full tilt and swivel arm style bracket that you can turn to watch whether cooking, sat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen or seated in the lounge. It has digital channels at your disposal (reception in St.Ives can be poor at certain times of the day , this is due to tidal times and the weather). However, I have attached a HDMI lead so should you wish to bring your Apple TV or equivalent, you are more than welcome to attach it. There is a DVD player and a selection of dvds for your use as well. There is free WIFI and the code can be found on the card secured to the wall next to the router and dvd player. Please be respectful of the fact this is a 'residential' connection and although streaming anything is not a problem the connection is not one that will take being used for professional use or uploading or downloading huge amounts of data or videos. This will basically knock the wifi out for a while and you will need to reset the router. THE LOUNGE has a big bespoke Ibiza style day bed/sofa that is drowning in lots of cushions, pillows and throws that you can cosy into at night and watch a film, or hunker down with when the weather gets a little wild outside (mainly in the winter of course). All the cushions on the day bed can be taken out and placed on the bench outside should you prefer to sit in the sunlight with a drink and a good book, we just ask you take care of them and do not leave them outside in the rain or while you are not at No.7. THE ‘SEA WALL’ in the Lounge, is a big part of No.7’s unique features. It is a little fun spot to go to for maps (old and new) of Cornwall, Penwith and St.Ives. Very importantly it also has its very own Thermometer, Barometer to see what the weather will be doing plus a Tide Clock, showing the hours to high and low tide, which as you will witness in St.Ives is a very visible daily occurrence. However most importantly the wall has 3 features that you may want to utilise either outside at No.7 or at the Beach… 2 DECKCHAIRS that are hung on the walls with hooks that you can easily lift the chairs off and carry out. OUR LOVELY STRIPY WINDBREAK which is also set on hooks that you simply lift off . Perfect to take down to the beach to shield you from the breeze while you hopefully bathe in the sunshine of St.Ives. Just a little request : Please do take care of these items when taking them out of No.7, they have all been made especially for me by local sail makers in Penzance and we really wouldn’t want them lost or damaged unnecessarily. Please make sure they are back in their rightful places when it comes time for you to leave. THE BATHROOM has a lovely hot shower that you can use at anytime of day (switched on and off using the pull cord by the bathroom light along with the bathroom light that provides extraction for the steam) and guest towels galore for you to use from our boat ore towel rails. Please make sure your sandy feet are rinsed off outside using the exterior tap before showering, sand really is not a friend of the slightly antiquated drains in St.Ives. THE BEDROOM has an ample built in wardrobe , to unpack and store your bags, or cases. A cosy Double bed, with reading lights and plug sockets for phone chargers and the hairdryer etc. It also has a beautiful window seat to situate yourself at with a good magazine in the sunlight or to use as a little table when sat outside so the seagulls do not suddenly take an interest in you ☺The window is fitted with a black out blind , but also a net option for a little privacy, and a heavier grey curtain should you want to block the morning sunlight should a black out blind not be your thing. There are little wedges for the sash window should the wind make the frames knock a little. I really hope you enjoy the space, as I do when I am in St. Ives , its very special to me but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Best Wishes Gemma
    BEACHES: No.7 is situated within equidistant of 4 of the 5 main beaches in St.Ives, Porthmeor Beach being my favourite, but Porthgwidden is a lovely spot too and your closest one to skip to, along with Bambaloose Beach (its a tidal beach though so at certain times of the day it isn't that accessible). The harbour beach is literally around the corner too and is quite the hype of activity in the summer but good atmosphere non the less. Porthminster Beach is little further away, across the harbour (10-15 minutes walk depending how busy the harbour is). Go Explore and if you feel like a surf go and see the lovely guys at St.Ives Surf School at Porthmeor Beach☺ WHERE TO EAT: Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, The Harbour Beach & Porthminster are close to and attached to some really lovely Restaurants. You must try and get a table at the Porthmeor Cafe for dinner or lunch, if not West Beach (which is open approx. June-September) on the far side of the beach has a lovely menu and is a fabulous location to chill out and watch the sunset over the beach. Porthgwidden also have a fabulous restaurant, for lunch and Dinner with sea view to boot. The Porthminster Restuarant which is on Porthminster Beach is famed and reviewed countrywide for its award winning menu and is also a fabulous location. If you do not feel like the walk over there, then there is plenty on the Harbour front to head to. Just around the corner is The Sea Rooms which is lovely in the day and in the evening, with all fresh local produce with a fabulous wine list and relaxed feel. Alternatively The Porthminster Kitchen is highly recommended, breakfast , lunch or dinner, you really cannot go wrong there and is the new sister of The Porthminster Cafe. On Fore Street there is amongst others; The Seafood Cafe which is a popular choice and further down Fore Street near the market place is Black Rock which is always highly praised for their food. Olive's Cafe near Teetotal Street is a little hidden gem too and Adrian the owner will always make you feel very welcome, great cakes!! I painted the outside wall of the café and now the inside for him too so let him know I sent you :). Bars like The Hub, The Balcony, Beer & Bird , Blass Burger & West Beach (Porthmeor) are more relaxed in their approach but are great for well made and good quality food, mixed with a bar feel to them.... there are so much more but I will let you go forth and conquer St. Ives on that front. TAKE A LOOK AROUND Norway stores is your closest convenience store, for basics on Back Road West. Fore Street, and the Harbour are the main shopping areas, there is an off license called Johns on Fore Street, which is stocked with anything you may require on that front, The Allotment Deli on Fore Street has everything from fresh fruit, bread , pressed juices and veg to olives, sandwiches and picnic items for the beach they even do toilet roll & tea bags and are the lovely gang that provide your welcome pack of goodies☺ Make sure you go and explore the coastal paths and walks local to St.Ives, they are breath-taking! Take a trip to the Tate St.Ives and don't forget to see the Porthmeor studios and Hepworth Museum , a truly insightful way of seeing the art scene and its famous historical effect on the area, one of my favourites .

    A peaceful woody space, rustic yet with all the amenities needed for a relaxing break. Two double beds one on a mezzanine loft whilst the other in spacious bedroom with a double wardrobe and space for extra beds. (can sleep up to 6 using a blow up bed.) Large kitchen/ dining area and comfortable lounge with two huge bohemian sofas and throws. Lovely garden with free range chickens and a hot tub.(£60.00 for two days £80.00 for 3)
    Tranquil setting with a boho feel.Two main sleeping areas with 2 double beds a blow up double bed and single camp bed There are basics like tea coffee sauces spices and oil in the kitchen cupboard and theres milk and Porridge, if hens are laying eggs too. I leave towels in the toilet area and bath mats. There is a washer you can use in the 'panic room' next to loo (basically a store room !) We have a heavenly hot tub outside, and a fire pit in our shared garden, give us a nod and well load you up with wood to warm up after your dip !!! We have a barn next door that we use for parties, and you are welcome to book out our glamping site with Four units ,(see air bnb woodland yurt , Gypsy pod and retro van, Great Strickland) and the camp site and Have a knees up if you so wish !! We do have cats and dogs on the farm if you have allergies to pets this is not the accomodation for you, so sorry.
    Our village has a great pub a 10- 15 minutes walk away. A twenty minute bike ride or a 5 minute car journey can bring you to Larch Cottage Nursery, the best garden centre in England!! Moreland café (open Wed to Sun) is 5 mins in opposite direction and does lovely breakfasts and lunches.Lowther Castle is the other side of the M6 and boats a huge children’s play castle as well as beautiful gardens and another quality cafe. In Askham just a half mile from here are two great pubs , The Punch Bowl and The Queens Head ,Askham hall and gardens and the Health Barn, a great place ho relax and be pampered. Fantastic mountains within a 10 to 45 minute car ride away, and gentle walks in the local area. A perfect area for cycling and just off the coast to coast route.

  • Við áttum bestu helgina í Lake District. Húsið var virkilega notalegt og á frábærum stað. Andri var virkilega velkominn og alltaf til staðar ef þess var krafist. Gat ekki mælt með því að vera hér nógu hátt! Ef þú hefur möguleika, forðastu að taka lítinn bíl þar sem vegurinn inn er mjög misjafn og er þakinn götum. Ekki vandamál ef þú ert varkár!

  • „Howdy Barn“ var frábær staður fyrir okkur að vera fjölskylda í vikunni. Dásamlega afskekkt „miðja hvergi“ tilfinning - en aðeins 15 mín frá M6, 20 mín frá miðbæ Penrith og 45 mínútur í hjarta Lake District. Andri var svo hlýr og velkominn og fjósið notalegt og vel búið. Krakkarnir okkar deildu stóra svefnherberginu og ég og konan mín vorum með stóra hjónarúmið í þaksperrunum. Okkur var vingast við hunda, ketti og hænur, lékum okkur í garðinum og skemmtum okkur konunglega í heita pottinum. Snilldar vika, og vonumst til að snúa aftur!

Það hafði mjög mikla tilfinningu heima hjá okkur, sem við elskuðum. Takk bæði fyrir að vera svo kærkomin og vingjarnleg!     Luxury Apartment sitting right on the waters edge of the Mersey. Sit and watch the beautiful sunsets or the swans floating by whilst sat out on the huge terrace, all within walking distance of main tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants.
    Take advantage of the views directly out to the water and the gorgeous sunset. Guests have use of our lovely open plan kitchen living room with oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Two large double bedrooms one of which has an ensuite shower room and a large bathroom with bath. Guests will also have private use of the outdoor terrace directly on to the waters edge and one secure car parking space.
    Just a 15 minute walk up the dock lands to Albert Dock and the main L1 shopping area. 15 minutes drive to Aintree Race Course and 10 minutes drive to Liverpool and Everton football grounds.
