“Lose your heart in one of the world’s most romantic gardens.. This lovely, timeless garden, with spectacular views over a deer park and rolling Cotswold hills beyond, was designed in the 17th Century and still retains a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. There are extensive yew hedges, including a notable topiary yew walk designed by Lutyens as well as some magnificent mixed borders, which contain a wide range of roses, clematis, shrubs and herbaceous plants that provide colour right through from spring to autumn. Lovely cafe too.”

“High tea in the most romantic courtyard in Cheltenham. Stylish areas to confide over a cup of earl grey and plush sofas to relax on. Under used and a little unknown; very special. ”

“As an accessible location in the Cotswolds, it is easy to take advantage of all the great activities we have on the doorstep. The Cotswold Water Park, located at South Cerney offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including walking, cycling, bird-watching, watersports and a dive centre. Meanwhile Gloucester Docks and Quays offers a great day out and you can hire a boat too. You can’t visit Cheltenham without at least considering some horse-riding, so why not head to Cotswolds Riding which is just a short drive from the town. They have over 50 horses and ponies to suit any level of ability and are based in the village of Stanton at the foot of the Cotswolds escarpment. Riders enjoy magnificent views as they traverse many miles of paths and bridleways, with virtually no roads to tackle. Novices will be taken on accompanied hacks, while intermediate or advanced riders can enjoy faster hacks, cross country, show jumping and dressage schooling facilities. Advance booking is necessary, so give them a call on +44 (0)1386 584250.”

“Staggering distance from the barn, Saturday night meets - the cafe sells the most amazing chips. Quite a thing if you've never had a night out at the dogs before!!”
