“Eating out can be very pricey but if you know some insiders’ places, it can be even cheaper than buying products in grocery stores. Tel Aviv is well known for its amazing street food. If you’re traveling to Tel Aviv, eating hummus has to be on your must-do list. I wanna tell you about a hummus place I discovered last summer in the heart of Shuk HaCarmel – “Hummus Magen David”. Once you’ve tried Magen David hummus, you would never compromise for industrially made hummus in supermarkets again. This place is always busy and you have to wait in line for a while but it’s worth it. All tables are shared, so feel free to grab a seat with strangers.”

Food Stand
“A very small stall in the middle of the Carmel Market that specializes in a wonderful falafel. In front of the stand you will find some homemade sauces, spicy, amba, Yemenite Hillbe and more. The place has existed for over twenty years and jealously preserves its secret recipe for falafel. Cheap, delicious, satisfying and memorable.”

“Located near the heart of the Carmel Market, it's our favorite lunch place. Everything is as fresh as it gets, and the street is also bustling and hustling. It's a no-frills restaurant, with incredibly tasty food. Our favorite dishes are the Market Antipasti, Kebab, and the Roastbeef in Challa-bread. If you're feeling like having a drink, we recommend an Arak with "Limonana" (Limonana means Lemonade with Nana, or Mint, leaves).”

“Julie’s Egyptian Food is located just few meter from the studio Julie’s is only open for lunch until she runs out of food. Every morning, she searches the shuk for fresh, high quality vegetables to craft the day’s menu. Using ancient Egyptian recipes and spices, Julie’s is known for being the most authentic Egyptian restaurant in Tel Aviv.”
