We're all different in many ways, but we all share one thing in common: passion for unique and magical experiences. We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments.     This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
    Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.

Það fær mikið af sólarljósi á morgnana og hitarinn heldur honum heitum á nóttunni. Sturtan var ótrúleg og það voru bitar og stykki þegar í eldhússkápunum sem var mjög handhægt. Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
    The area of Flinders Lane has a history of Fashion and Art for over a century; the area has changed over the last 2 decades, tho' it has always remained edgy, Boutiques, Galleries and now fabulous foodie Restaurants, there are also several Live music venues and Bars tucked away in Laneways throughout the city.

    Important notice relating to Covid - 19 / Coronavirus Pandemic As you can tell from my reviews, more importantly i would like to stress the high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at my home. Long before the coronavirus took the world by storm, my house and your (potential) room have always been thoroughly clean and sanitised EVERY time a guests leaves. This involves all linen washed and sterilised with hot water, all walls, doors, door handles, windows and bed side tables sanitised and disinfected thoroughly. I can't stress enough the lengths I go to here to maintain a clean and germ free household. I do have an expectation of all guests booking these next few months to be washing your hands thoroughly during your stay and helping me maintain a clean and hygienic home for myself and you during your stay. You will be sharing the apartment with me, I live there too.My apartment is away from all the hustle & bustle of city life in a quiet & peaceful part of Melbourne.Im 5 km away from the city so it's literally a 12 min ride on the train to Melbourne central CBD. You'll have your own queen room with a comfortable queen size bed,lots of draw/wardrobe space & your own private master bathroom. I have a big open plan living and kitchen space so we won't be bumping into each other a lot if the time. It's the perfect place when hotel rooms are far too small and pokey.
    Balaclava is a rad & funky part of the south side of Melbourne. A quiet & safe neighbourhood with everything at our doorstep. I'm a min walk from Balaclava train station, 4 min walk from bustling Carlisle St which has all major stores/businesses at your fingertips. All major supermarkets, banks, convenience stores and around 6 pharmacies! Some of the absolute best coffee in Melbourne (Monk Bhodhi Dharma) is a 6 min walk from mine and you'll also find one of Melbourne's best rooftop beer bars (The Local Tap House) with 20 always changing beers on tap right down the road, the best Vietnamese restaurant (UNCLE) and a beautiful Italian Restaurant (Ilona Staller) amongst others. ZIGGY'S also happens to make one if the best cheeseburgers in town too! 2 major liquor stores within a 5 minute walk on hand and also a small boutique bottle-o down the road too.

    St Kilda is an inner suburb of the metropolitan area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 6 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Port Phillip. At the 2016 Census, St Kilda had a population of 20,230 St Kilda was named by Charles La Trobe, then superintendent of the Port Phillip District, after a schooner, Lady of St Kilda, which moored at the main beach for much of 1841, and the ship's master and early settler Lieutenant James Ross Lawrence. During the Victorian era, St Kilda became a favoured suburb of Melbourne's elite, and many palatial mansions and grand terraces were constructed along its hills and waterfront. After the turn of the century, the St Kilda foreshore became Melbourne's favoured playground, with electric tram lines linking the suburbs to the seaside amusement rides, ballrooms, cinemas and cafes, and crowds flocked to St Kilda Beach.     Bright, east-facing bedroom with a leafy green view. You'd be staying with me & my cat, Pablo. He is pretty easy going, friendly, but also independent, often out during the day but home at night...much like myself. We have compost bins downstairs, recycling, a bike you can borrow & an awesome bulk food store nearby, so this is the perfect home-away-from-home for an environmentalist abroad! 5min walk to Balaclava station & all the excellent cafes of Carlisle St. Easy 15min train trip to CBD.
    The building has good insulation so stays fairly cool in summer and warm in winter without central air-conditioning. You'll find a fan and a heater in your room that you are of course welcome to use if you need to, and on very hot days I highly recommend you help me keep the house cool and close your blinds completely. I have block out blinds that work great to keep to whole house cool on such days. All windows have fly screens, which means you will have a peaceful, mosquito-free sleep on warmer nights. There is a balcony too which gets a nice view of the sunset and also has a BBQ which you're more than welcome to use, I only ask that you remember to turn off the gas when done. The apartment is on the second floor meaning that there are some stairs, but I am more than happy to help you with any luggage up the stairs.
    Very safe neighbourhood, with many great little shopping strips around and SO many great cafes. Balaclava has the advantage of being well connected to vibrant & funky St Kilda, but just a little removed from the chaos. It's a safer, calmer suburb than St Kilda. There is a small park at the end of my street, but there is also the beautiful Ripponlea Reserve and manor as well as one of my personal favourite parks, Alma Park, each only a 15 minute walk away. The beach is an easy 15-20 minute walk away too, and Chapel Street is 1 train stop away or a half hour walk - where you'll find the BEST oppe shoppes (/thrift stores), cool bars & eateries, and the beautiful Astor Theatre - a 1920's art deco theatre that plays movie doubles every night, including many cult classics and arthouse films.

    A room in our beautiful 2 bedroom flat in Prahran/Armadale. Our lovely suburb is both near and far enough from the world's most liveable city. It's accessible to everything you may need while also being in a quiet, peaceful suburb.
    Our two bedroom apartment is on a block of only two. We live with our gorgeous dogs, Poppy and Harriet. We have a great yard, an abundance of on street parking, and an outdoor clothes line. We have a washing machine and provide washing powder too. We do have a dryer but prefer only to use it if absolutely necessary. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with everything you might need. We have a bookshelf stocked with various types of books including some travel guides and novels (though they're mainly cook books and food guides ;) There's also board games. If we don't have something you want to watch, you can certainly download it on WIFI (which is included) or use the Chromecast to stream your entertainment to the TV in the bedroom. Your bedroom has a really comfy quality bed, fresh linen, desk, fan/heater, lamp, towels, a mini fridge, hanging space, a fan and a couple of extra blankets for the colder nights! When the temperature is extreme, we can provide an air conditioner if needed. Fortunately we have an old house which tends to stay quite cool on hot days. We can provide all sorts of information in addition to the guidebook - just ask :)
    Our neighbourhood is a leafy suburb just outside the CBD. We have access to public transport (3 different routes). We're in the more peaceful side of Prahran so you will need to use public transport to get around, but our neighbourhood is safe, lovely, and quiet at night.

It is a 3 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to popular Albert Park. Two different Tram stations with connections into the city are a 3 minutes walk away. This place ideally suits 2 persons, however, if there is a third person, arrangements can be made if you let us know in advance.
    The bedroom has a queen size bed, desk and wardrobe and is yours for the duration of your stay. There is a bathroom and separate toilet, kitchen, living room and basic utensil (towels, shampoo, laundry powder, tea and coffee, etc.) are provided for guests. There is a second bedroom which will be inaccessible to guests but the rest of the place is yours for the duration of your stay Guests can use the washing machine in the kitchen but the dryer is coin-operated and in the common area of the apartment complex. There is an outside drying rack which can be used free of charge and we can provide pegs if necessary. There is also a TV with Netflix and YouTube access and you can connect your laptop via HDMI if you want to watch movies. There is a microwave-oven available and you will get space in the fridge. There is unlimited free on and off-street parking available for guests. If you are a group of more than 2 persons, we could provide an inflatable air mattress, extra blankets and a relatively big couch is also available, please let me know in advance though if your group exceeds two persons so I can make the proper arrangements prior to your arrival.
    The place is situated in a quiet and well connected neighborhood. Here we also cannot host children and pets. No parties and no drugs permitted, smoking outside of house only. To get to the property from airport, there are 3 options: 1) Starbus to Birches Serviced apartment, which is 10 mins walk from property. Starbus operates every 20 minutes from 5am to 9pm. Cost about $22. 2) Skybus to Southern cross station, before taking a train to North Richmond station or tram 109 to stop 20. Skybus runs every 15 mins 24/7. Train and trams operates 5am to 11pm. Total cost $30+ 3) Take a direct taxi $60-$80 or uber around $50-$60. If you have a car, you can park on street for free. Please just make sure you check the parking sign properly (eg 2P, 4P, unlimited time zone, permit zone etc). Car parking permit can be hired for $5 a day too.
    One thing I often get is people don't realize how good this location is until they arrive. 10 minutes walk to the famous Abbotsford convent, close to Fitzroy and Melbourne botanical garden and Melbourne Cricket ground. On one side you have all the prominent cafes, exquisite restaurants, bbqs, dessert house, bars, shopping strips, entertainment, music/DVDs, cinemas, local bakery.. a multicultural bonanza. On the other side you have gardens, parks, river, walking trails, castles and convents, boathouses, secret alleys, picnic, children's farm and farmers market etc This house is amazingly located on a quiet tree-lined street sandwiched in the middle of all above. A lovely quiet and private location. With your own spacious and comfortable bedroom with a nice view of the garden. I’m a true Melbournite who knows all the hidden secrets of this great city.

    This studio apartment is located in St Kilda, with easy access to Melbourne's CBD, St Kilda Beach, Chapel Street, Acland and Fitzroy Street, Albert Park lake (home of the Australian Grand Prix). St Kilda junction is 300metres away providing access to Melbourne's famous trams and Windsor Station is also less than a km away allowing access Melbourne's train network. The Astor Theatre and Luna Park are all in close vicinity of this apartment. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
    For a price better than that of a private room you get a great studio apartment in a fantastic area of St Kilda, close to public transport (both bus and train) for easy access to Melbourne's CBD, the Melbourne Grand Prix, The Australian Open Tennis, the MCG, St Kilda Beach, to name just a few. Free parking maybe available based on availability.
