“Honestly, this is a restaurant, but we've put it here as a bar because they have an incredible happy hour special. (It ends at 6 PM). We ate here for $11 last week. An entire dinner. Say hi to their manager, Daniel.”

“This is the oldest saloon in DC. It can take 45 minutes to get a table but put your name down, they will call you on your phone when the table is ready, go and have a drink at POV while you wait. POV is a rooftop bar next door ”

“Spanish Tapas joint - One of the most popular tapas joints in DC. Can't go wrong with this spot on 14th Street. Recommend driving or taking an Uber/Lyft. Could also take the Metro to Dupont Circle, but is about a 3/4 mile walk from Dupont Circle Metro stop.”

“Laotian food is harder to find than most Asian cuisines, so this is a great place to check out if you've never experienced Laotian cooking.a lot of the dishes are spicy, but the flavors are delicious and unusual. Thip Kao is my go-to place where I bring my out of town foodie friends.”

“Care for a side of socialism with that? Friendly service, leftist leanings and great food and drinks, where the activists gather to eat, subvert the system and plan the revolution. Monday Nights - Open Mic, Tuesday is Comedy Night! Several unique locations throughout DC area, but this one is five minutes away. Owned by rabid social entrepreneur and someday mayor of Washington, DC, Andy Shalal, who says Busboys is "a community where racial and cultural connections are consciously uplifted . . . a place to take a deliberate pause and feed your mind, body and soul… a space for art, culture and politics to intentionally collide . . . we believe that by creating such a space we can inspire social change and begin to transform our community and the world."”

“This is one of our favorite restaurants in DC. its not as hard to get into as Bad Saint but its not that much easier... If you can get a reservation we definitely recommend. Its high end comfort food with one of the best bakers in town. If you can't go for dinner, try stopping by for a pastry and a coffee in the morning. The have some of the best baked goods in town. ”
