A funky space, with stunning views in a quiet, cosy house tucked away off the road, close to town as well as beautiful Cotswold countryside. The room is accessible by a steep but very solid fixed wooden ladder. Professional massage also available!

Our house is very cosy, warm and friendly. Once you climb up into your attic room at the top of the house, you can look out down the valley, across to Wales on a sunny day. The attic room is well insulated so stays very warm in the winter and with 2 Velux windows is well ventilated in the summer. It's a great space, sound-proofed from any noise below and I often feel like I'm in a boat when I'm up there!
I offer organic breakfast with my own home-made bread and can cater to most tastes, preferably vegetarian but I'm happy to cook up bacon if that's what you love.
The hose is south-facing so sun all day and we have a spacious deck at the front of the house that guests are welcome to use.

Aðgengi gesta
You can have breakfast in the dining room in the morning and help yourself to the deck space at the front when it is warm enough.

Annað til að hafa í huga
You will need to be child-friendly to stay with us as my daughter is just 6 years old. she is very cute, fun and friendly but for obvious reasons I can only accept guests who are happy with her being around.
I have had 4 different lodgers living with me over the last few years and they have all loved being here, Abi stayed with us for 9 months and this is what she said:
''A cosy family home, Nicky and Bella will make you feel part of the family straight away. The bedroom is quiet and hidden away upstairs so you have your own space when you want it and it has the most amazing view to wake up to every morning. The house itself is situated perfectly, only a couple of minutes walk from town and some amazing countryside. Horns Road has a great community feel, everyone knows each other and it has a great pub on it too. I have loved every moment living here and am truly gutted to be leaving.'

Stroud, Bretland

Stroud is unique; it is a creative, alternative market town that has a very strong sense of community, social justice and creative expression. Horns Road is one of the town's hotspots boasting the great Crown and Sceptre Pub at one end and the more stylish gastro-pub, the Market Tavern pretty much at the other. Head west from the pub and you are soon in rolling hillsides, woodlands and meadows, aptly named The Heavens. Head in the opposite direction and you'll soon be in the town which is mainly pedestrianised and on a Saturday thronging with its award-winning Farmer's Market. Creatively Stroud punches far above its weight, offering numerous galleries, venues and regular festival experiences. Be sure the check out the SVA (Stroud Valley Artspace) and for a year-long calendar of spiritual, creative and eco events, retreats and workshops Hawkwood College is just a 10 minute drive away. Situated in the Painswick Valley you can take in yet more breath-taking views and nourish your body, mind and spirit in the process at one of their high quality courses. There are too many other pubs, cafes and eateries in town and the surrounding area to mention and if you like hillsides, you have come to the right place for walking!

I live in the quirky market town o Stroud in Gloucestershire with my gorgeous daughter. We are surrounded by lovely rolling hillsides and we are often to be found out and about, picnicing, walking, jumping in streams… I eat and provide (mostly) organic food, make my own bread and during the summer grow my own veg.
