This 3400 square foot home is in a great location on Lake Blaine just 15 miles from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell, Montana. The lake and your private dock are just steps away in your backyard. It's the perfect spot for a family get together or a romantic getaway. A wonderful place to be all year round.
Main Floor:
As you enter the house you will find a spacious entrance with a coat and utility closet. Next to the entrance is the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer and access to the garage. There is a half bath just steps away from the laundry room including a supply closet filled with any extra supplies that you may need. The large kitchen is equipped with everything a cook might need. The kitchen has a large bar and the dining room has large table that can be extended if needed.
Curl up next to the wood burning fireplace in the living room or enjoy all your favorite shows on the Smart TV. The living room looks out onto the yard and lake. This is a favorite spot to sit and read or watch the spectacular sunsets through a wall of floor to ceiling windows. There is also a little nook there with a desk and a table. This is the place to congregate for games, puzzles or maybe an extra dining spot.
On the main floor there is one bedroom with a queen bed and a nice ensuite with a shower. It also features a sliding door that leads out onto a patio.
Second floor:
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and another large family room with a television and wood burning stove. The master bedroom also has an ensuite with a shower. This is a cozy room with windows that offer wonderful views of the lake. The perfect place to get away from it all and relax.
There is an extra large bedroom upstairs that we call the "dorm room" as it has 3 twin beds and one queen bed. The kids love this room. Here you will also find a porta-crib, high chair, and extra sleeping pads if they are needed. You will find extra bedding in a linen closet next to the bathroom and extra blankets are in the closets in each room.
The other two bedrooms upstairs will each sleep two guests. In one room is a nice queen bed and two twins in the other. Both have cozy sitting areas for reading or relaxation. The other bathroom on that floor is a nice full bath with a tub.
Outside:
You walk out the back door to a spacious deck. The gas grill will make your food prep easy and there are 3 outdoor tables with plenty of seating for alfresco dining. If you need a break from the sun you'll find plenty of shade on the deck which is surrounded by mature birch trees. The two adirondack chairs are a perfect spot to relax and keep an eye on all the activities on the dock. We also have a paddle boat that is perfect for fishing or a slow cruise around the lake.
The Area:
Our home is situated in a great central location with quick access to all kinds of activities. Spectacular Glacier National Park is less than an hour away. Enjoy hiking, rafting sightseeing, and fishing among scenery you'll never forget. The town of Bigfork on Flathead Lake is only 15 minutes away. It's a quaint little town with lots of art galleries, restaurants and live theater in the summer. There are 3 golf courses in the vicinity also. Winter is beautiful here too. Whitefish Big Mountain Ski Resort is less than an hour away and at the lake you can enjoy ice skating and snowmobiling for much of the winter.
For supplies and shopping, the town of Kalispell is only a dozen miles away. Here you'll find all the retail outlets you're used to such as Costco, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, movie theaters, restaurants, and a variety of sporting goods stores.
If you're flying in, Glacier International Airport is only 15 miles away for easy access.
