Our wonderful home sleeps 10 in five super or king-size bedrooms, with extensive open plan living and dining. It has 2,000+ square foot spread across three floors. With stunning uninterrupted views directly to the largest Cotswolds lake, Somerford Lagoon, you can curl up on our decks or lawn on sunny days or stay cosy by the log burner and always enjoy the views and passing wildlife even on rainy days. Outside explore the award winning Lowermill Estate with plenty of nature and actives onsite.

Our holiday home is situated in an enviable position on the banks of Somerford Lagoon, the largest of the lakes in the Cotswold Water Park SSSI. This spacious five-bedroom property is sure to be a popular choice among families and friends alike. We have owned our family holiday home for some 15 years since overseeing its build. We are pleased to offer it for rental guest having kept it to ourselves for the past three years:

This 2000+ square foot home offers plenty of space and comfort for ages. Offering extensive ground floor living/dining with a very well-equipped kitchen that opens on to the living area with feature wood burning stove as well as access to the large outside decking which provides outdoor seating and BBQ. The fully glazed sliding patio doors open onto the ground floor deck to enjoying stunning and uninterrupted views across the lake. The ground floor decking makes this the ideal property for outdoor relaxation with a much larger further lawned area leading onto the banks of Somerford Lagoon. Between April and October, the Lagoon is only “open” to the wildlife and in the warmer months our house is well-set back on the raised banks not to be disturbed by any boating activities. Moreover, there is space and discrete angles between our quiet neighbours to minimise overlooking.

The open plan living provides comfortable lounge seating arrangements of a corner sofa & occasional chairs leading onto a dining room with table and chairs comfortably seating 10 guests and a further quiet reading corner with large sofa / second Firestick TV space for the children. The main TV has Sky, Netflix etc plus a DVD player.

Gigaclear ultra-fast full fibre broadband with good wifi coverage plus Cat 5 points throughout the property

There’s a well-equipped modern kitchen with an array of cupboards, built in appliances including a tall fridge, separate under counter freezer, double oven, combination microwave, dishwasher & gas hob complimented by Silestone work surfaces.

The fabulous master suite has a feature ‘floating’ SUPER KING sized bed, ample built-in wardrobes and storage chests mirror wall TV plus its walk-in shower room and private balcony enjoying views across Somerford Lagoon as well as direct to a shared balcony, ample for sunbathing.

Elsewhere on the first floor there are two king-size bedrooms (that can each convert to home working or study desk space - please contact host for instructions) a large twin and the family huge walk-in shower room and access to an additional very large balcony terrace (see photograph of front of house covered with flowers) with seating and westerly aspect to soak up the setting sun.

While the second floor provides a very private spacious guest suite comprising a king bedroom plus TV/ DVD and Amazon Fire stick services with adjacent deep corner bathroom.

One well-behaved and well-trained dog is welcome for a few. Please keep off furniture and out of the bedrooms please. Outside the house, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and always clear up behind them – there are dog waste bins around the Estate.

Bed linen & towels use in the house are provided; bring your own for Spa and pool use etc

Nespresso Machine – bring your own capsules; there is also a coffee bean grinder and french press.

Starter dishwasher tablets and loo rolls provided along with hand soaps

Bring your own toiletries, shower gels etc

One travel cot (please bring your own cot linen) - there is space for up to 4 travel cots (as successfully tested by past guests!)

Washing machine, separate drier and airing room – please bring your own supplies and ensure that the machines are left open to air after use and all fluff is removed from filters.

Gas BBQ – please replace the gas cylinder if you empty (available at local Shell Garage). Please clean BBQ after use - excessive mess results in deposit deduction; check the cylinder is turned off after each use and cover is securely tied on.

Wood burning Stove – some starter wood may be available but please supply your kindling and kiln dried logs

A £500 refundable damage / deposit may be requested - to be paid directly to the owner.

The Spa and most other Estate facilities are complementary but please note they are separate entities and not owned or managed by the owner. This means the owner is not responsible or liable if the Spa or other Estate facilities are closed or restricted or unavailable during your stay.

Please note you will need to pre-book some activities via the Spa (a link to the booking platform will be provided after you book). The spa does not provide towels so if you wish to use the spa or pools, please bring towels from home with you. You can book the tennis courts by adding your name to the clipboard by the court.

The main supermarkets make pre-booked deliveries on the estate.

No hen or stag parties and please respect the peace of the estate. The estate wardens will eject unruly guests and fees are charged in such rare instances (owners are charged by the estate and we would seek to reclaim all these costs from the lead guest)
