Quirky, fun space in a tiny, traditional Welsh barn, with thick stone walls and a dinky stove made in Wales (logs provided). Perfect for walkers, bird watchers and beach goers. Cycles and surf boards to borrow.
Walk a mile from the door over fields and lanes to the coast path and spectacular views at Penberi. Or cycle/drive 10 minutes to Whitesands - voted #2 in the UK.
We provide bread, butter, eggs, milk, coffee, tea and sugar for your first breakfast (let us know if that’s not suitable).

Eignin
Tucked away down a grassy track, the one-room bwthyn is a peaceful spot for a few days’ cosy stay close to nature.
There’s a king-sized bed, high-quality mattress and bedding, organic cotton sheets and towels, good electric shower, Ercol arm chairs and a nice little kitchen. Underfloor heating throughout.
The bwthyn has a small patio with a (Welsh-made) BBQ / fire pit. There are also chairs and a hammock in our garden, with a view of Carn Llidi.
Throw open the doors on sunny days, or cwtsh up when a storm is blowing.
Dowrog Common is a short walk across fields. It’s a South Wales Wildlife Trust reserve and great for bird watching.

Staðsetning

St Davids, Wales, Bretland

The barn is on the Ffos-y-Mynach, a mediaeval footpath used by monks to mark the boundary of St Davids Parish and the Cathedral Close.
From the barn it’s a scenic walk over fields and quiet lanes to the coast path at Penberi, a towering granite outcrop. On a clear day you can see Snowdon and Ireland.
Or turn left to walk down the back lane to Whitesands (40 mins) or (our favourite) over St Davids Head to the ‘hidden’ beach at Porthmelgan.
St Davids, the UK’s smallest city, has a resident population of fewer than 2,000 people and a great range of shops, including a butcher, greengrocer, chemist, deli and supermarket. There’s a Thursday produce and craft market and pubs, cafés and restaurants. You can walk there in 25 minutes or cycle in 10.

We have bike tools, storage and a track pump if you bring your own cycles, and there’s a great little cycle shop in St Davids if you need spares.
