Bear Lake Heaven is an extraordinary 80-acre private resort located on Bear Lake in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Perfect for vacations, weddings, and family reunions. Bear Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the US and has been compared in beauty to Lake Como in Italy. The property boasts a half-mile of flat beautifully manicured lake-front, five private docks, four white-sand beaches, several miles of mountain trails, and two waterfalls. The owner of this magnificent property has painstakingly curated each room over nearly a decade to make the space as relaxing and elegant as possible.

The lodge features an exceptional master suite with an oversize marble steam shower, a beautiful guest room with a king bed, and a large family bedroom with two hand-crafted wooden queen bunk beds. All of the bedrooms overlook the lake and have private bathrooms.

By late May we hope to have a luxurious custom-built 600 ft. tiny house on the property. This additional space features a living room, kitchen, primary bedroom and two loft bedrooms each with king-size beds, as well as high-end finishes including wood floors, quartz countertops, and a marble shower. This opulent space will share the same breath-taking views as the main house.

The high-end kitchen with marble countertops, La Cornue range, and custom cabinets are well stocked with everything you need during your stay.

Enjoy your meals from either the inside or outside dining areas large enough to accommodate your entire group.

The private resort has all the lakefront toys that one would expect. Enjoy the lake to the fullest with kayaks and paddle-boards included. Ski boat use conditional on age, training, and any necessary certifications.

In addition to all the luxuries and amenities the home offers, it is located adjacent to Bear Lake Reserve — a high-end resort community. The owner is a member so guests have access (for a small fee) to all the private amenities offered by the resort including a 9-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course with a 40-mile panoramic view of the Smokies, tennis, and pickleball courts, and a clubhouse for dining.

Bear Lake is the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding experience. We can accommodate wedding sizes of up to 40 individuals and work with local wedding planners to make your experience wonderful. Only up to 12 are permitted to stay overnight at the property. The rest of the guests can stay in Bear Lake Reserve or find their own accommodations. We are accepting weddings on a case-by-case basis. Send us a message for any inquiries.

A house manager, and concierge services are available as an upgrade. Our concierge will do all errands including grocery shopping and can attend to any and all guest requests.

I've loved the lake life since I was little spending my summers with family on Lake Michigan, Lake Mahopac in New York, and in Minnesota. I am fortunate to manage lake-houses on behalf of incredible homeowners Bear and Hyco Lake in my home state and Lake Osborne in Florida.

When I was younger and my family moved to North Carolina, we knew we had to keep the lake tradition alive and were lucky to stumble upon Hyco Lake, a little-known hidden gem on the NC / VA border. I love Hyco and everything about it. People are friendly, the water is calm, and the lake has a rural charm while being within an hour from the research triangle and Chapel Hill (where I grew up).

Through a friend, I got in touch with Keith and Marnie who are the homeowners and my co-hosts for Bear Lake Heaven. They are Chicago natives who have spent time in Western NC for 30 years. They have crafted a slice of paradise and have enjoyed the resort-like property for years with friends and family. Bear Lake is geographically one of the most breath-taking places in the world.

At Hyco, I'm renting out my family's beloved childhood lake house so guests can enjoy it while I’m up north (moved to NY after graduating from UNC, GO HEELS!) and my parents are empty nesters. Also, helping my friends the Reeds rent out their beloved home so guests can enjoy when they aren't living the lake life themselves!

Recently partnered with a childhood friend to create a Wrightsville experience at his families' beach house and another in downtown Wilmington. Also have joined forces with my older brother to create a Colorado Springs experience. Aim to provide new and unique experiences to share with guests.
