Peartree is a recently refurbished, beautiful 150 year old traditional Cotswold cottage situated in the 'old town' Bourton-on-the-Water.

The cottage is found in a tranquil location, down a quite footpath off the main village street, and is the perfect Cotswold get-away in which to rest, relax and unwind.

Peartree Cottage is located in Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire.

Regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England, Bourton-on-the-Water, is a true gem of the English countryside. It is pretty as a picture all year round with a wonderfully sweet fun side too, and offers a wealth of attractions and shops, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, or simply the space for you to enjoy being outdoors.

The beautiful Bourton ducks are at the heart of the village fun, they spend their time on the meandering Windrush river which is lined by pretty boutique cafés in which to enjoy a traditional afternoon cream tea.

The village makes an excellent base for exploring the North Cotswolds by foot and bike. There are many stunning walks by which to enjoy some truly breathtaking views. Its a short drive from several sites of great historical importance such as Blenheim Palace, and medieval market towns.

Due to beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water being on the Windrush river it can get lively & busy in the summer months in the late morning/ early afternoon.

My family and I fell in love with the Cotswolds on an extended trip a few years ago. Whereas perhaps there are places in England whose beauty mostly shines in the spring and summer, the Cotswold's beauty is mesmerizing all year round: historic villages untouched for centuries, lined with cottages built with honey-coloured local stone, warmed within by log fires, look as romantic and atmospheric draped in snow as they do bathed in the summer sun.

Our other homes are in London and the Seychelles.
