Pops is one of several quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log homes on a wooded property surrounded by National Park land just a stone throw from the TN River, one mile from South Broad and Ruby Falls. The Pops is a "Luxury" class cabin, with higher end furniture, a pavilion over the hot tub and curtains for privacy as well as a private firepit. This is a PET FREE cabin.

Eignin
Starting in the back, Pops (named after Tom May, owner Frank May's Dad), boasts concrete pad and pavilion over the hot tub. Uniquely, for privacy, you have curtains to pull around the spa pavilion. A back deck with Adirondack chairs and a grill is connected to the spa "room" by six foot steps so you can sit can gather on the steps when not bathing in the spa. The Master hosts a queen bed, four closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage and TV. Just out of the master is the washer dryer combo unit on the right and the full bath on the left. A step further we enter the kitchen, full stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, cabinets and a bar. The living room is off the kitchen, with a luxury reclining sofa and attractive decor and side chairs. This listing can sleep 5 people, but the sofa does not have bedding included unless requested. Up the steps to the loft clearance is low, at just 4' - it is a sleep loft, not a stand up and walk around space. Out the front door, you can enjoy dining for four, as well as a small concrete patio for seating beside the cabin.
The Pops does have a private rustic firepit behind the spa "room"

Chattanooga, Tennessee, Bandaríkin

The Pops Cabin is 1 mile from Broad at the foot of Lookout Mountain. It shares 12 acres with other similar cabins.

More information
Before going into just how close this Cabin is to whatever your Chattanooga led heart desires, let us note that Chattanooga has, again, for the second time in only 5 years won Outdoor Magazine's Best Town for (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) And there is no other listing so near trails, history, and city and tourist attractions than these gems. The house is exactly one mile from Ruby Falls, 2 miles from Craven's House and some great trail heads there, 5 miles from Rock City on the GA side of Lookout and literally a walk to Skyuka Springs trailhead which will connect you to Sunset Rock, Point Park, The Chattanooga Nature Center, even horse trails and bike trails such as the Guild bike Trail. The Chattanooga nature center is less than 2 miles from this home located at where Lookout Creek spills into the TN river at Moccasin Bend.

We are also just 4.5 miles from the Tennessee Aquarium (turn left out of drive and stay on Cummings which becomes Broad and runs right to the Aquarium), just over 3 miles to the Chattanooga Choo Choo, and just over one mile to Ruby Falls and just over three to Rock City. Racoon Mountain with the amazing caverns is less than 4 miles from the house west on Cummings. There are several boat drops close by if you crave a cruise of the gorgeous TN River gorge. Or, if climbing or caving is your bag, we have walls and caves galore just right past your door with the famous Sunset face right by, and the TN wall just miles away by Signal Mountain. Finally, hikes. Hikes, hikes and more hikes to waterfalls, overlooks, historical markers - you name it, it's all right here. We are happy to point you to trail heads, swimming holes, waterfalls, climbing routes, you name it, it literally surrounds this house!

Finally, if history is what attracts you, we sit just by where the confederates camped before they retreated to "Point Park" up lookout and our property was in both their and the union's path in the Battle above the clouds. This was also important Cherokee land before the time of muskets and cannon. Our property literally borders Federal Park (Civil War) land on two sides and four sides if you count all our families land right here.

We have loved world travels our entire life though as parents of 8 kids, we move more between TN and Utah, our two family homes, than anywhere else. Frank is an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, his faith, philosophy, and our family. Nicole, who stays home to manage our large family and the properties enjoys being in nature, bird watching, trail running with our dogs, date nights with Frank, cuddling with our little ones and cats, conversations with the older kids, studying Gods word, and coffee talks with friends. She loves her Heavenly Father, her family, coffee, and wishing she did not love so much sugar! We love Chattanooga and Southern Utah for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.

As hosts, Nicole is home a lot during the day when not out in the community serving and we live on the property, So you will find us responsive, accommodating, and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of our home areas of East TN and Southern Utah.

As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.
