La Vallee is a gracious 2 hundred year old farm with gorgeous views of the surrounding Normandy countryside. It is just off the D976 between Saint Hilaire-Du-Harcouet and Buais near Saint Synphorien des Monts. Secluded and quiet, yet within easy reach of the main roads linking to the A 84. It is very close to the historic remains of the Cistercian Abbey in the Commune of Savigny-Le-Vieux. also within easy distance of Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo, D-Day beaches, Granville and Avranches.

Eignin
The gite is adjoining the row of barns in the form of a longere with its own entrance, plenty of parking space, and beautiful views to the South and North. It is currently on the ground floor, with a bedroom screened off (for the children - with bunk bed and a possible 3rd mattress on the floor) and the large living room consisting of a full kitchen/dining space, bathroom, and sitting area with a double sofabed (for the parents) There is heating via electric radiators, wifi (fibre), a TV, family games, all basic essentials, and it is possible to order breakfast, and other meal requirements to be supplied to the gite at an extra charge, for self-service by guests.

Staðsetning

Savigny-le-Vieux, Normandie, Frakkland

St Hilaire-du-Harcouet is only 9kms away and has large supermarkets, banks and many restaurants and bars. Don't miss the Wednesday morning market with live animals and lots of fresh produce! We are only 45 kms away from the famous Mont St Michel and Saint Malo and Cancale, famous for its oysters and moules, are also within easy reach. Only a 30 minute drive will take you to Avranches. From there you can choose whether to enjoy the beaches and historical sites on the East coast of the Bay of Mont Saint Michel, or explore the rest of the bay to the West with Dol de Bretagne, Mont Dol, Dinard and Dinan among other treasures in the valley of the Rance. The D-day beaches on the north coast are a fascinating day out, as well as a visit to Bayeux for the tapestry, Falaise - the castle of William the Conqueror, the Suisse Normande, and many other wonderful places to visit.

Andrew and I are country lovers, and our lovely home is set in the Normandie Bocage - a rural area for dairy, fruit-growing and calvados production. We have a very portly shetland pony, and a beautiful hectare of land on which you will find a meadow, woodland, orchard, vegetable garden and Jardin-Anglaise. There is wonderful bird life, beautiful scenery, and lots of quiet sunny corners to relax in. We are well-placed for access to the D-day beaches, Mont St Michel, Dol de Bretagne, bathing beaches and many other places of natural and cultural interest in the area. If you have no transport, we are happy to meet you at Dinard airport, or Vire train station, and can also take you on outings to places of interest, for an extra fee. After a busy day out, there's nothing better than a glass of wine with a bit of French bread and cheese while sitting outside the house as the sun goes down, listening to the birds and enjoying good company. Our motto is 'When we stop learning, we stop living' We have traveled all over the world ourselves, and received people into our home from all over the world too. We look forward to welcoming you.

Andrew et moi sont les amoureux de la campagne, et notre belle maison est située dans le Bocage Normandie - une zone rurale pour les produits laitiers, des fruits et de la production de calvados. On as un très corpulent poney shetland, et une belle hectare de terre sur lequel vous trouverez un pré, bois, verger, potager et Jardin-Anglaise. Il est merveilleux de voir des oiseaux, des beaux paysages, et beaucoup de beaux coins tranquille pour se détendre. On est bien placés pour l'accès aux plages du débarquement, le Mont Saint Michel, Dol de Bretagne, les plages et bien d'autres lieux d'intérêt naturel et culturel dans la région. Si vous n'avez pas de transports, nous sommes heureux de vous rencontrer à l'aéroport de Dinard, ou la gare de Vire, et peut également vous guider des sorties aux lieux d'intérêt, moyennant des frais supplémentaires. Après une journée bien remplie, il n'y a rien de mieux qu'un verre de vin avec du pain et fromage tout en restant assis à l'extérieur de la maison au coucher du soleil, écouter les oiseaux et profiter de la bonne compagnie. Notre devise est "quand nous cesser d'apprendre, on as cesser de vivre". nous avons parcouru le monde nous-mêmes, et a reçu les gens dans notre maison de partout dans le monde aussi. Nous avons le grand plaisir de vous accueillir chez nous.

We are happy to share all outdoor space with guests, and often serve an aperitif on the bbq patio around 18h30 in the evening. There are often animals present on the property - shetland ponies, sheep etc. If you like to wander in the countryside there are lovely places to walk near us. It is possible to reserve the bread oven/pizza oven to entertain, for an extra cost, if you would like to do this. There is also a chapel on the property, for the use of guests and the owners.
