The Visionary Room features historic charm, modern decor, and beautiful accents. This master bedroom features a Roku Smart TV and a private bathroom that was newly renovated. This bedroom is 1 of 3 bedrooms in this home. While this bedroom and bathroom is entirely private to you, each bedroom is its own Airbnb listing, so all common areas may be shared with other Airbnb guests. You have access to a full kitchen stocked with basic cookware, appliances, and a Keurig. There's a spacious den and a half bathroom right off of the kitchen, and a backyard space convenient for pets.

This listing is a great fit for young couples or travelers who have previous experience booking private bedrooms within a shared space. It’s likely that on busy weekends or popular travel times that you’ll be sharing the home with other Airbnb guests and may interact with them in passing.

This is a shared space, and we ask that all of our guests are courteous and respectful. Please note that we cannot be responsible for the behavior of other guests.

You're within walking distance to many Savannah staples, including The Starland Yard, Big Bon Bodega, Two Tides Brewery, and The Vault. It's a quick 10 minute Uber ride to River Street and about a 25 minute drive to Tybee Island!

Each bedroom has an electronic keypad for additional privacy. When you arrive, please make yourselves at home and feel free to adjust the thermostat to your liking.

Parking: There is free, on-street parking available. This is very common in Savannah - if you decide to stay downtown, you will have a very hard time finding off-street parking. There is usually ample parking available, but it is first come, first served and there are no reserved spaces. We cannot guarantee parking spaces, or enough space for trailers, U-Hauls, boats, etc. Please be advised of weekly street cleaning - there are signs that indicate which day of the week the street cleaning is, and if you happen to stay during street cleaning, you can just park on the opposite side of the street.

Quiet Hours: This is a residential neighborhood. Please be advised that we ask all guests to respect 10PM quiet hours every night of the week. Any violations may result in a formal report on Airbnb or an early termination of your reservation.

Any unapproved late checkouts may result in additional fees.

There is a $50 shipping fee for any items that you leave behind and need shipped back to you.

I’d recommend this home to anyone looking to come to Savannah to have a great time and experience the city as locally and authentically as possible! If a residential neighborhood filled with art students and families of folks who look differently than you will make you uncomfortable, then I’d recommend a hotel. If things like dust on blinds, leaves on the patio, or scuffs on the stairs are what will determine whether or not you enjoy your stay, I’d also recommend a hotel. It just depends on what you’re looking for as a visitor, and if you’re unsure about what may be the most suitable for you and your needs, I’m happy to chat with you at any point to help you determine that!

The Starland District, located within the borders of the Thomas Square Streetcar Historic District, is one of Savannah’s most fashionable and diverse emerging neighborhoods. The district traces its history back over a period of more than a hundred years. Specifically, its origins lie in the founding of the Starland Dairy, a milk processing factory around which the rest of the neighborhood would develop over the course of several decades.

The restoration of the Starland District began in 2000, and is still a work in progress. The plan for Starland aimed to restore both its residential and commercial functions, creating a vibrant new art and design district —a haven for local artists and musicians and packed with the city’s best indie boutiques, cafés, shops, and even a brewery —has piqued the interest of preservation buffs because of its Queen Anne, Greek Revival and Craftsman-style homes.

The home is next door to a car lot, and while it may not be aesthetically pleasing, it should not impact your overall stay. The home is conveniently located one block away from SCAD Residence Halls, One West Victory, and a quick walk to The Starland Yard and Two Tides Brewery. Much to see right nearby! This is a rapidly gentrifying area with a lot of renovation projects happenings in the neighborhood. It's an exciting time to visit, and we ask our guests to be tolerant and respectful of our diverse neighborhood, and the people who call Savannah home.

Local neighborhood shops and restaurants include:

• Forsyth Park - Just a ten minute walk. Make sure you check out the Forsyth Farmer's Market, which takes place every Saturday from 9a.m. to 1p.m.

• Brighter Day Natural Foods Market - Savannah's historic natural foods market has served as an anchor at the south end of Forsyth Park since 1978, offering a wide selection of organic goods, fresh produce, natural foods, and they even have a walk-up deli window serving up tasty sandwiches on the go! An ideal stop for visitors who would like to pack a healthy picnic to enjoy in Forsyth Park

• Back in the Day Bakery - This Southern gem serves up time-honored recipes made by hand with the highest quality ingredients. Don't miss their signature vanilla cupcakes or delicious Biscones - a favorite among visiting celebrities. This crumbly cross between a scone and biscuit is actress Jennifer Garner's absolute favorite.

• Grave Face Records & Curiosities - Funky destination for used records & cassettes, plus taxidermy animals & pop culture novelties.

• Starland Yard - You're going to love this place! This outdoor food truck haven offers a kid and dog-friendly atmosphere with lively entertainment on most nights, draft beer, and probably the best wood-fire pizza ever!

• Foxy Loxy Coffee - A mixture of an art gallery, coffee shop and bistro, Foxy Loxy has a menu options that include all three mealtimes, coffee drinks and even wine alongside constantly changing creative displays.

• La Scala Ristorante - An upscale establishment where the food is impeccably prepared and presented. They have a patio featuring live music every first Friday of the Month from Spring to Fall.
