The Old Dairy is a beautiful 17th century Cotswold stone property which sleeps six guests, in three bedrooms, with two modern bathrooms. Once the village dairy, this stunning house retains a wealth of character features including exposed wooden beams, stone mullion windows and an impressive exposed Cotswold stone chimney breast in the living room. These features have been complemented by contemporary interiors and modern facilities such as the inset wood burning stove, wireless internet access and three TVs. There is an immaculately presented garden at the rear, and off-street parking is available for two medium sized cars.

The Old Dairy is situated in the unspoilt village of Stanton, a true chocolate-box village with honey-coloured Cotswold stone properties, a number of thatched cottages, the Church of St Michael and All Angels, and The Mount Inn, a highly regarded gastro-pub. Located on the hillside, this popular pub prides itself on its locally sourced ingredients, range of ales and breathtaking views across the Vale of Evesham. The village is surrounded by wonderful countryside, with many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep including the renowned Cotswold Way long distance walking trail which passes through the village itself and continues in the direction of neighbouring Stanway, a peaceful village which is dominated by Stanway House. This Jacobean mansion is open to the public in the summer months and boasts the tallest gravity-fed fountain in the world. For keen riders, Stanton is home to Cotswold Riding, an equine facility run by Jill Carenza which provides hacks for riders of all abilities.

Stanton is well-placed for exploring the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Winchcombe, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway, all home to a variety of restaurants, independent shops and tempting tearooms. The region offers a wide range of tourist attractions such as Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, historic Sudeley Castle, the Lavender Fields in nearby Snowshill and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway which follows a 28 mile round route from Broadway to the regency town of Cheltenham. Further afield destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle and Oxford are also within easy reach for day trips.

The Old Dairy is the perfect country hideaway for a gathering of friends or family who are seeking a relaxing break surrounded by the glorious Cotswold countryside. The front door opens into a smart and spacious entrance hall, off which are the following rooms:

Living room: A small step leads up into this warm and inviting reception room which features exposed beams, an exposed Cotswold stone chimney breast and patio doors which open into the garden. Finished in a contemporary style, this room contains an inset wood burning stove (October - April only), a wall-mounted Smart TV with BT TV including Netflix and Amazon Prime subscription, a Blu-ray DVD player, two-seater sofa, three-seater sofa, three armchairs, occasional chair, large cushioned stool and writing desk. There is also a digital radio with CD player and iPod dock, as well as a selection of parlour games, books, magazines, DVDs and CDs;
Kitchen/dining room: This tastefully decorated kitchen has smart tiled flooring and dual aspect French doors that lead out into the beautiful garden, perfect for those warmer days. Well-equipped for rustling up an evening meal, this room contains an electric range cooker with five-ring induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cafetière, toaster, stick blender with attachments, wall-mounted Freeview TV and a large oak table which comfortably seats eight;
Utility room: Adjacent to the kitchen, this useful space contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and wash basin;
Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin.

Stairs lead up from the entrance hall to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms:

Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom: This bright and spacious dual aspect bedroom offers stunning views of the garden, the quaint village and across to Shenberrow Hill. It contains a king size bed, Freeview TV with DVD player, large chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe with shelving, three mirrors, a chair, stool and digital radio. The modern ensuite bathroom contains a bath with grab rail and handheld shower attachment, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail;
Bedroom 2: This charming bedroom boasts exposed wooden beams and a stone mullion window with views of the neighbouring manor farm’s attractive garden. This room contains two single beds, a large built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, full length mirror and chair;
Bedroom 3: Also with stone mullion windows, this lovely dual aspect bedroom contains a double bed, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe with electronic wall safe, full length mirror and stool;
Shower room: A light and airy room which contains a walk-in rain shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and magnifying mirror.

Accessed via the kitchen and living room, the gorgeous enclosed garden is a wonderful spot to relax after days spent exploring the area. Situated beneath the delightful climbing rose which adorns the back wall, the pretty terrace is home to an oval table with seating for six and a parasol. Beyond the terrace lies the well-maintained lawn which is bordered by leafy shrubs and fragrant flowers, and further seating areas are dotted around the garden for guests to enjoy the sights and scents.

Off-street parking is available for two medium sized cars in the double garage at the rear of the property.

The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
