Rafters (sleeps 2 in 1 double) is an award winning fully self-contained apartment on the first floor of a 16th century Cotswold manor house in Broadway. Rafters, a converted granary with vaulted ceilings and original oak beams is superbly set with views over the peaceful surrounding grounds of several acres. Rafters is just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village and is fully equipped for all your holiday needs. Parking on site, grounds (with terraces) to enjoy, and free WiFi.

Rafters is a wonderful apartment located on the first floor of The Manor House, Broadway, The apartment is fully self-contained and accessed through its own front door (key safe to access keys).

Through the front door, a single flight of carpeted stairs open in to the spacious vaulted sitting/dining room with wonderful oak beams some many centuries old. There is a large leather sofa and armchair to relax on in front of the HDTV with DVD player. Dining table with chairs. Well equipped fitted kitchen off the sitting/dining room with electric fan oven, electric hob, microwave and fridge (further freezer space available on request).

Rafters has a vaulted beamed double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath with over-bath power shower) which along with the bedroom was recently refurbished and redecorated. Double wardrobe, a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets provide plenty of storage.

Rafters has lovely views across the surrounding grounds of several acres. There is usually something of interest in the surrounding grounds; beds stocked with flowers, fruit trees in the orchard, our chickens and Indian Runner ducks roaming around the grounds often joined by pheasants, deer and at night it is not unusual to see bats and hear owls. There are plenty of places in the grounds to sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Rafters is within easy walking distance of the centre of beautiful Broadway. Broadway has all the amenties you need for your stay; a number of individual hotels, cafés and restaurants, independent shops and galleries, a tourist information centre, library, pharmacy and surgeries etc.

Parking for one car at the entrance to Rafters (further parking available on request).

Laundry facilities on site in separate laundry room (washing machines and tumble dryer). Outside airer.

All gas, electricity, bedding, linen and towels included in the rent. Rafters is self-catering however you will find some basic starter supplies to help you at the beginning of your stay. There will be a limited supply of toilet roll, soap and washing-up liquid, kitchen roll. ‘Welcome’ tea/coffee tray and milk. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer also available.

Guests are invited to enjoy the surrounding grounds, which include terraces with garden furniture and Kadai firebowl, ornamental pond, manorial fishpond, wooded areas and stream.

The Cotswold Way National Trail crosses our adjacent field and there are a number of footpaths in the area. Footpath to the village from the grounds.

Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bath and the many delightful Cotswold villages and lovely National Trust properties are easily accessible by car.

Inside Rafters there is an information folder with further information about the apartment, the history of the Manor House and some suggested places to eat and to visit during your stay. A small selection of maps and guidebooks are also provided.

Located in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and adjacent to the Cotswold Way National Trail that runs from Bath to Chipping Campden on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Broadway 'Jewel of the Cotswolds'.

The Manor House is set in tranquil grounds of several acres on a rural lane.

Sorry no dogs as chickens and Indian Runner ducks share our grounds. Our pet Poll Dorset sheep graze our adjacent field.
