**UPDATE TO CANCELLATION TERMS, EFFECTIVE 18 JULY, 2020: Any new bookings made from travellers coming from regions which are excluded from travel to Queensland at the time of booking (including Victoria and Covid19 hotspots of NSW - Liverpool, Campbelltown etc) are no longer eligible for the following cancellation terms. Bookings made by travellers from these regions, who booked between 02/06/20 and 17/07/20 remain eligible for these terms:

We are currently getting many enquiries from Australian travellers who want to book for later in the year but are concerned about what will happen with their deposit if border restrictions or Government lockdown conditions are in place which prevent them from travelling. So for Australian interstate travellers, we are offering the following alteration to our Strict cancellation policy:

If you book a holiday with us for dates after July 1, 2020, and subsequently need to cancel your holiday with us due to border restrictions or government lockdown conditions which prevent the primary person who booked from travelling, we will refund your booking in full or otherwise apply the full amount paid to a future booking, provided the cancellation or alteration is requested at least 2 weeks prior to your check-in date. This is to give us some chance to re-book the dates to local travellers. If your cancellation is requested less than 2 weeks from your check-in date and due to border restrictions or government lockdown, we will pay a 50% refund or credit towards a future booking. This is in recognition that it will be difficult for us to re-book the house at the last minute.

If you need to cancel for any other reason, then our Strict cancellation policy will apply (refer Airbnb Strict Cancellation policy for details).

For international travellers, unfortunately we are unable to offer flexible cancellation terms at this time due to the uncertainty relating to when international border restrictions will be lifted. We will review this policy as the situation evolves.

PROPERTY DETAILS:

Guests have the whole top floor of this house, which is a fully self-contained, private & separate residence to the downstairs house. They have been built as two separate standalone residences. The Loft House has its own separate access via an external staircase at the front of the house. There is easy and free street parking at the front of house.

The Loft House has recently been meticulously renovated with stylish finishes and an easygoing coastal vibe. Featuring elevated views, leafy surrounds, high ceilings, large windows to capture the sea breeze and ducted air-conditioning throughout. Entertaining is a breeze with the open-plan design and stunning kitchen with modern appliances. You will love wining and dining on the large back deck with BBQ and table for 10.

Best of all is the location, just a short stroll to the beach, Currumbin estuary, and a selection of fantastic cafe's, bars and restaurants.

The Loft House at Palm Beach is your perfect base to enjoy everything that Palm Beach and the Gold Coast has to offer. There is no need for a car, it is a short stroll to the beach, Currumbin estuary and Laguna Lake, as well as a supermarket, amazing cafes and restaurants, parks and local Saturday markets. You have everything you need at your doorstep but if you’d like to explore further afield, it’s only 2 minutes walk to the bus stop.

Ever wanted to learn how to surf? Surf lessons are available daily at Currumbin Alley (2 minutes drive), where the inside waves have a nice gentle curl and are perfect for learning. Intermediate and experienced surfers will delight in the waves that run along the outside point at the Alley, which can provide thrilling rides of several hundred metres.

A short stroll away is Dune Cafe, which is a great spot to start your day, after taking your morning swim or stroll on the beach.

All members of the family (including furry ones) will love Currumbin estuary, which is right next to Dune Cafe. There is a section of off-leash beach for the dog lovers, a pirate park to keep the kids happy and stunning white sandy beach and crystal clear water for sunbaking, swimming and fishing.

The Collective at Palm Beach (5 minutes walk) is a unique market-style concept of eateries and bars and a popular spot for locals to wine, dine and socialise. Balboa Italian restaurant across the road offers an authentic and delicious Italian dining experience.

2 mins drive away is the Boatshed, where you can rent a kayak or Stand-Up-Paddleboard and experience the natural beauty of Currumbin Creek from the water.

Close by (2 minutes drive), you have Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a great place to cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo and experience Australian wildlife and shows.

At the North end of Palm Beach and a 5-minute drive is Tallebudgera Creek and Burleigh Heads National Park, which are also stunningly beautiful and family-friendly spots to enjoy a swim, paddle, fish or surf. Burleigh Heads has some award-winning restaurants with spectacular views.

Beyond Palm Beach, the Gold Coast has some other great attractions that you may like to explore by car or bus. It is an easy 30 minute drive (or shuttle bus) north on the M1 to the theme parks (MovieWorld, DreamWorld, Wet N Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular). The attractions of Surfers Paradise (Q1 Observation Deck and Climb) and Main Beach (SeaWorld) are a similar distance heading North on the Gold Coast Highway and you can stop off at Pacific Fair (Broadbeach) for some retail therapy.

To the south, 10 minutes by car you will get to Coolangatta, which is home to the world famous surfing breaks of Snapper Rocks and Kirra. A further 45 mins south by car and you will arrive at the beautiful hippy/trendy beachside town of Byron Bay, which is a lovely spot to spend a day, explore the markets, or spot whales from the lighthouse.
