Eignin
The main house was built in 1926 and most of the original charm and hardwood floors are here, along with many updates and luxuries. There is approximately 4000 ft.² under the roofline. There is a newly renovated chefs kitchen with double oven, two en-suite king masters with incredible water views (one with a jetted tub). There are two additional queen bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths total in the main house. The house also has a living room, library and large family room with a pool table and bar, all with gorgeous water and garden views. There is also a basement game room with a wet bar, wine tasting area, ping pong, a vintage record player, and 150 inch screen for movie nights.

A 12 foot gazebo sits out by the water. With cedar benches and gorgeous views of the water, Alsea bridge and all the way to the ocean, this is a great place for a picnic or a romantic escape with a glass of wine.

In the extensive gardens in the back of the property, you will find a new sparkling eight person spa and an outdoor dining pavilion with a kitchen, gourmet grill and wood-burning fireplace.

There is a pond in a creek on the property, and by the creek you will find the Tea House/She Shed, a perfect place to meditate or escape with a good book while listening to the creek burbling nearby.

There is a large fire pit at one end of the property for your marshmallow roasting extravaganzas or singalongs. There are three private beaches for our guests to use at low tide. Hunt for treasures on the beach including agates and beach glass.

We have watercraft available. There are two kayaks, two Hydro bikes and a five person paddle boat with a canopy and cooler.

Guests are renting the entire estate.

With almost 5 waterfront acres, this is like a private island. The bay is shared with bald eagles, harbor seals, river otters, occasional Orca pods and other wildlife on endless display.

Crab, clam and fish right from the property.

Annað til að hafa í huga
Cleaning fees include cleaning and spa cleaning.

Airbnb collects state lodging taxes; the host collects a 10% lodging fee for Lincoln County which is shown as the Community Fee.

This is an historic property. It was an Alsea fishing village for thousands of years. The Alsea people named this area eponymously, and it means peace or paradise.

This property became the original settlement of Waldport in the 1800s. It included a salmon cannery, General store, post office and the ferry landing. The remains of the pilings of the cannery and the ferry landing can be seen on our property, and further down the beach towards the ocean, ruins of the original community can still be seen. Use caution if visiting the ruins due to unstable cement walls and foundations.

The original cannery owner’s daughter built the main house in 1926. It has been updated and expanded over the years, while still retaining an amazing amount of the original detail and character.

This is a prime crabbing, clamming and fishing area, all of which can be done from the property. The Waldport boat launch is just across the bay, so if you have a boat, you can launch it there and tie it up here.

We have Hydrobikes, kayaks and a paddle boat at the property. These are rented through a separate company. Please contact host for more information.

Waldport, Oregon, Bandaríkin

There is a good but pricey grocery store five minutes from the house. We suggest guests who want to just be able to relax and enjoy the property order online at Fred Meyers, then stop on the way to the property (there are stores to the north and south) and have the groceries delivered to your car.

We are incredibly private, but a boat ride across the bay or a two-minute drive to Waldport.

We are 15 minutes to Newport and Yachats, and 45 minutes to Florence.

We are 2 1/2 hours from Portland and 1 3/4 hours from Eugene and Salem.

I am a real estate broker and investor. I enjoyed a 30 year career in commercial real estate and asset management. In 2000, I started my own commercial real estate company, and eventually owned two commercial brokerage and property management companies in San Diego. My husband Roy and I moved to a small Oregon town in 2013. When we lived in San Diego, we purchased a French Victorian home in the charming gold rush town of Julian California, about an hour outside San Diego. We loved it so much that we turned it into a vacation rental so other dog parents could vacation in the mountains with their pups. It was a beloved vacation home, with guests returning year after year. A movie was filmed onsite, and we have many wonderful memories from our time there. We decided to repeat that great experience, and I have been buying and renovating homes on the Oregon coast since 2015. I am so lucky to be doing what I love to do. While the sales process is going on, I haunt my favorite thrift and consignment stores looking for wonderful pieces that I can restore for use in our vacation rentals. We always buy some items new: mattresses, linens, TVs, appliances, etc., but I love the character and unique personality that a stunning vintage item provides. I also love restoring furniture. During the renovation process, I live in the house. This is both so I can work on the property, and even more importantly, get a feel for the house and the neighborhood. I get to know my neighbors, the mailman, meet the neighborhood pups and their owners, and see what time each day the sun shines into different rooms. The house and I begin to communicate. Through the renovation and design process, I get a deep sense of the home and the neighborhood. When we are done, the property gets a name. The names are indicative of both the location and the nature of the home. Yaquina Bay Club is serene and elegant, while Yaquina Surf Camp is fun and funky. Once the property goes on the vacation rental market, I make it a point to stay at each of my homes at least once a quarter. It is important to see things from a guest’s perspective, so that our homes continue to be places where wonderful memories are made. Since I have lived in and renovated each home, these are definitely more than investments. These are homes I have lived in and love, and I hopethat comes through to our guests. It is also fascinating to see the difference in these homes from the time we buy them to what they are today. Most of the homes that we purchase are foreclosures, estate sales, distressed sales, etc. All of them sat sad, vacant and unloved for a long time. When I first walk through a distressed home, it feels cold and forlorn. Now the homes are happy, cared for and loved, and you can feel it the moment you walk in the door. Some are calm and serene, some are classic beach family fun, but all are happy and welcoming. I would live in any of these homes in a heartbeat. I guess that's why I bought them in the first place. But I really love sharing them with our guests and their friends and families. Welcome! About I am a San Diego native, entrepreneur and Mom who moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2013. I love it here, and am grateful my husband was game for a new adventure. I have two wonderful kids who are successfully forging their own paths in life, with partners I love and am thrilled to have as part of our family. I live on the gorgeous Oregon coast. I love traveling, and have spent a lot of time in Italy, with plans to travel more in the future as our lives become less hectic. I love real estate, renovation and design. I also love thrifting and finding awesome pieces to go into our vacation homes. I have been able to combine all these passions over the last five years buying, renovating and staging our vacation rental homes. Although each home is unique, they all share casual luxury, character, unique vintage pieces, a sense of place, and an attention to detail that makes each one a great home away from home for you and your family. My husband Roy and I share our home with our fur children, four Rottweilers and an entitled Bombay cat. They love people, and are always excited to meet our Waldport guests when we are at the other house on the property. I have been a host for 10 years, and love welcoming guests and future friends into our homes. Thanks for stopping by. We hope to welcome you soon. Best, Lauri Hines
