Staðsetning

New Haven, Connecticut, Bandaríkin

This is a neighborhood with a lot of history. No where else in New Haven can you watch the oyster boats seeding and harvesting the oyster beds in the Spring and through the Summer. Racing skulls, kayaks and canoes are always on the River. The historic Dragon Bridge still pivots to let the larger boats in an out of this spot where fresh water and salt water mix. Plus the architectural treasures scattered about making walking a fun activity on both sides of the river. The area is quieter than the downtown and yet only a 20 min. bike or 15 min. car or bus ride away.
The nearest supermarket is CTown and it is a 10-15 min. walk over the bridge.
Best local pizza is Grand Apizza on Grand Ave. across the river.
On the Fair Haven side of the River is a small, high end waterfront restaurant where you can watch the swans or egrets. In that marina you can also rent a kayak.
The Q River Grill here in the Heights is due to open in the Heights in August 2022.
