Secluded cottage situated on the Stackpole National Trust Estate. The cottage is adjacent to Lily Ponds & within walking distance to award winning Barafundle Bay & Broadhaven beach. With the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on the doorstep, guests can enjoy a multitude of walks direct from the cottage door.

Our quirky rustic welsh styled cottage with unique furnishings has everything to make your stay enjoyable. A great base for couples or families to retreat & explore the best of Pembrokeshire.

Cooper's Dip is a charming stone cottage situated just minutes from the Bosherston Lilyponds with easy access to Barafundle Bay and Broadhaven beach.

Mix of antiques furniture with modern and functional facilities with all the equipment and extras any generation or group size could wish for to make your stay entertaining and interesting.

Cosy up in Winter with board games by the log burner and hearty cooking after a refreshing walk along the Pembrokeshire coast. In Summer you can spend days outdoors enjoying the sand between your toes.

Although the cottage can sleep a maximum of 6 inc infants in three bedrooms, it is more suited to a maximum of 4 adults, plus 2 children but it is still cosy for a couple.

The living room has two fabric sofas and ottoman arranged around the wood burning stove and a flat screen TV and DVD.

The setting:
Located in the Stackpole Estate and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the cottage is reached via the same lane as the Stackpole Walled Gardens. It's a rural, quiet location, ideal to get away from it all, but the towns of both Pembroke with it's impressive castle and Tenby with its gorgeous beaches, are close by. The nearest neighbours are in the Stable Block on the other side of the lane. The cottage has a South East facing garden to the North East is the Lodge Park and Stackpole Court. The Bedrooms and Patio look south to countryside with Stackpole centre in the far distance. The gardens offer tranquility and privacy.

Walking:
Whether you want a short stroll or a refreshing ramble, Stackpole has miles (and miles!) of footpaths for you to enjoy from woodland walks or coastal paths. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path was recently voted the second best walk in the world. An OS map is provided.

Wildlife:
Stackpole is recognised as a National Nature Reserve, recognised for abundant wildlife. Otters, kingfishers and woodpeckers live nearby in and around the Lily Ponds, while walkers along the coast often spot seals, dolphins, rare choughs and other sea birds. This part of Pembrokeshire is a is a peaceful haven of tranquility and wildlife.

Stackpole is near to the historical town of Pembroke with its impressive castle, many shops and amenities. Just a short drive away is the popular surfing beach Freshwater West and in the other direction the popular seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot with their sandy beaches and picturesque harbours.

On your doorstep.....
We are a two minute walk from the Lily ponds (featured on BBC’s, Autumn Watch) keep on the path and within 20 minutes you will arrive at glorious sandy Broad Haven South Beach, walk over the Stackpole headland and into Barafundle Bay voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Britain. Stackpole Quay, Stackpole and Bohesrton village are all within walking distance.

Eating out locally:
The award winning Stackpole Inn has a fantastic reputation for fresh, local food. St Govan’s Inn, Bosherston, serves tasty food and great real ales and the quaint tearoom in Bosherston is renowned for its cream teas. There is also National Trust Boathouse tea room at Stackpole Quay. The Cawdors Tea Rooms sometime referred too ass Walled Garden is on the same quiet treelined lane as the cottage. The Garden is managed by Mencap and impressive work undertaken by Pembrokeshire adults with learning disabilities, who produce a large range of plants, fresh fruit and vegetables that you can buy in Garden shop.

Within driving distance, you’ll also have a wide choice of places to visit, including Manor House Wildlife Park, Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton Activity Park, Folly Farm, Pembroke Castle and town, Manorbier Castle, Carew Castle and Mill, the bustling seaside town of Saundersfoot and Tenby. From Tenby you can take a boat trip to Caldey Island. While St David’s, Ramsey Island and Skomer Island are also worth a visit too.
