Welcome to Brighton Lanes Apartments: your home-from-home in the heart of Brighton's lanes! Located just off Ship Street this larger than average apartment is on the lower ground floor and sleeps two adults (*) with fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher), dining area, leather corner sofabed, large TV with free Netflix, luxury shower room, separate annex with king size bed and door leading out on to a small private terrace.
(*NB: Plus 2 children on request for a small extra fee*)

Kitchen Area: The modern fitted kitchen has everything you will need including two ring hob, microwave oven and grill, dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. The stylish red units are well equipped for you to be fully self-catered and are finished with coordinated toaster, kettle and accessories. We provide a Tassimo coffee machine but you’ll need to buy the coffee pods from the supermarket.

There's an iron & ironing board, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer and cleaning products inside the hallway cupboard. There's also a communal laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer located just outside in the courtyard and this is shared with Studio 1.

Dining Area: Table and chairs for up to four people giving you enough space to enjoy dining together or maybe use it as a desk for work. We also provide enough glassware, crockery and cutlery for over 4 people.

Living Area: Laze on the leather corner sofa and watch the wall mounted 32" Smart HD TV with integrated DVD player and free access to our own Netflix account. The L shaped seating area is sociable, comfortable and coverts into a sofa bed. It is tastefully finished with plump cushions and a throw. For music lovers there's also a DAB & CD micro hifi system with Bluetooth to connect your own music devices.

Bedroom Area: King size bed in its own private annex with a thick curtain for privacy which gives a couple staying with small children some privacy and there’s also a small wall mounted TV above the bed with built in DVD player for the grown ups to enjoy. You can easily store all of your stuff in the large wardrobe with hanging rail located located just outside the shower room.

Shower room: Lovely bright and shiny hotel finish shower room with an excellent power shower in a corner cubicle, small wall mounted wash basin, adjustable mirror, heated towel rail and WC. Each guest is provided with a large bath towel (extras on request) as well as hand towels and a bathmat. We also provide complimentary Duck Island shower gel, shampoo and hand soap along with plenty of toilet tissue too.

Courtyard: The small private terrace is accessed from the bedroom where there is a small table and chairs for you to enjoy.

Bits and Bobs: Studio 1 and 2 are on the lower ground floor of our building but this lower floor is not connected internally to the upper floors. Instead they share a hallway with a main entrance door leading out on to a courtyard (with a small laundry with washing machine & timber dryer shared between both studios which is located in the old Victorian WC block). Old stone outside steps run above the laundry and take you up to a platform at ground floor level with a guest bike rack should you want need it and then a big secure gate takes you out on to Ship Street Gardens which is arguably one of Brighton’s most beautiful ancient twittens - an Olde Sussex word meaning ‘lane’. This brick paved pedestrian lane is less than 100 meters long running between Ship Street to the east (where the front of our building is located) and Middle Street to the west with some beautiful cottages and shops along it’s whole length. We have three more apartments in the upper floors with Brighton Lanes Apartment 1 on the ground floor (which is also a holiday let - but quite a bit larger than the two Studios and even has it’s own outside terrace) and the two flats up on the 1st and 2nd floors are both let to long term international residents from France and Italy.

Ship Street runs north/south with the seafront at the south end and the famous lanes towards the north end and we are located half way between the two with the seafront just 150 meters away from your front door. If you arrive by car or taxi - there's plenty of room outside to pull up on the pavement and unload right outside our front door. Just don't leave the car unattended as the second you turn your back a parking warden will mysteriously appear from the shadows followed by a £30 fine.

Welcome to Brighton Lanes Apartments "your home-from-home in the heart of Brighton's Lanes”. Our beautiful 4 storey Grade II listed building called Gordon House is located on Ship Street just 100 meters off the seafront. We bought the building in 2011 and spent the following year renovating it throughout creating 5 luxury apartments in total, 3 of which are available for short lets here on Airbnb. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and attention to detail and hopefully this is reflected in our guest reviews. We have recently moved a few miles out of Brighton & Hove but we are always on hand if needed. Most of our guests want privacy so there’s every chance you won’t even see us during your stay!

I tend to just deal with bookings as on a day-to-day basis I run a wider property business. My husband Graeme is therefore your main contact once you get here as he is the property manager for the whole building. He's generally around most days if you need him but won't bother you unless you ask him to. We live a couple of miles away in Hove so if you need to contact us out of working hours (ie. after 6pm or at weekends) then just email or text us and we will get back to you ASAP (normally right away but sometimes it will be the next morning). Each apartment has its own key safe in the building's communal entrance hall which is accessible 24/7 using a digital entry system. You will be given two sets of keys and we ask that one set is put back in the key safe whenever you go out.
