Our home is on private property, the nearest house is down the driveway or through the woods. It’s a quiet, secluded, and cozy property in a tranquil area with tall trees and a pond in the middle of nature.

Quiet, secluded, and cozy property in Highland near the Hudson River and the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Located in the Ulster County area over the bridge from Dutchess County. Close to New Paltz, Gardiner, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, and Wappingers Falls. Guests can tour the quaint towns nearby as well as enjoy the busier towns for a night out.

The green room has a queen-sized bed, the blue room has a full-sized bed with a twin bed trundle underneath. Sleeping room can accommodate up to 6 people with a queen-sized blow-up aero-bed mattress or single cot for an additional person charge (as noted in pricing). Please be advised, the air mattress is not located in the apartment, so in order to sleep 6 people, guests would have to let us know so we can put it there, otherwise, there are no accommodations for 6 people. Pricing is per person after two guests. The appropriate number of guests should be selected or we can not accommodate you.

Living space is on the second floor which consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. Downstairs is only a garage.

If driving, you can park on the property.

Stewart airport is nearby. Minnewaska State Park is 35 mins away. Vanderbilt Mansion National Historical site, Home of Franklin Roosevelt National Historical site, and Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic site all under 30 mins. New Paltz Golf Course (25 mins) and Apple Greens Golf Course (15 mins). Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. Mohonk Preserve Inc. Hike the Labyrinth. Hudson Valley Sports Dome off Chapel Hill Road. A Hudson Valley Countryside Escape. Tons of things to do within 10 mins from our property. Quaint towns, shopping centers, sightseeing, history. The surrounding areas of Highland are perfect for travelers looking to enjoy the country and all the things it has to offer. Year round entertainment for travelers and people who live in the area. Tons of tourist activities and sightseeing to do.

We are close to many well known places such as Rocking Horse Ranch, New Paltz, Kingston, Wappingers Falls, Beacon, Rhinebeck, Gardiner, Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Fishkill, Marlboro, and more. There are many stores on 9W near Poughkeepsie and Wappingers over the bridge. Many things to do along Hudson River area as well as the Walkway Over Hudson, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, horse back riding, boating, cruise ships, golfing, apple and pumpkin picking, farmers markets, wineries, breweries, antique stores, consignment shops, historical sites, and much more.

As you can see, we are located in an area with a ton of adventurous things to do and plenty of sites to see from historical to modern. Look on Meetup, Ulster county or Dutchess county attraction sites to find events in the area that you can attend while staying here. We have several brochures of things to do and maps of the area also.

Currently hosting NYC and upstate NY properties with my family. We will be opening our own B&B and party/event hall started upstate in the future on a larger scale. I currently live in NY and have most of my life except living in Fort Lauderdale a few years.

I am also an Airbnb traveler. I am very particular about my surroundings and like suburban areas (mostly) unless I'm visiting a city and have no car. I am a neat, clean person, and I have an Italian Greyhound who is adorable. He's usually sleeping while I'm at work and would probably do the same if he travels with me. He doesn't always travel with me, I just enjoy taking him with me touring the city I'm traveling in because taking him along is a good way to meet people, especially since he's such a well behaved dog. He hardly barks (only when scared) and sleeps in his own bed. He's very well trained. Some of my pastimes are cooking and decorating. When I'm traveling I usually like to prepare food and take it with me so convenience is the key when I am looking to rent through Airbnb.

Therefore, all guests are required to call us before their stay.

We expect all guests to know that our property rules and that our household rules apply to everyone who visits and stays on our property. Please do not expect us as owners not to visit and maintain things on our property from time to time. We do not feel guests should be under the assumption that this is a rental we do not look after often since we have a lot invested here. We may/may not be around during your stay. Property managers in hotels oversee their properties and we do the same with our property.
