Blissfully nestled into the tumbling hillside with panoramic views over patchwork fields & the Teifi Valley, Red Kite Cottage is a romantic peaceful couples countryside retreat.
The barn-conversion cottage is full of character with beams & wood burning stove but with modern touches like free high speed wi-fi, luxury bed linen, EV charger and stylish furnishings. Surrounded by green meadows our location is a haven for wildlife with red kites, woodpeckers, hedgehogs & hares frequently seen.

Eignin
The open plan living area has a comfy sofa as well as table and chairs for dining. For entertainment there is a Smart TV with Freeview and access to Apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and BBC iPlayer (using your own subscriptions) as well as a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. Free high-speed WiFi is also available.
The kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering with oven, hob, full size fridge & freezer and a dishwasher as well as a kettle, toaster & microwave. Tea, coffee & sugar are provided along with a welcome basket of essential food items to get you started.
The cottage has radiator heating throughout as well as a wood burning stove for cosy nights in.
The bathroom has a big luxury double-ended bath plus a separate walk-in shower.
You have a private patio for outside dining as well as access to two private countryside wildflower meadows (shared with Woodpecker Cottage). You have your own dedicated private parking space at the front of the cottages and we have a 7KW Electric Vehicle charger available for guests to use (chargeable at current domestic electricity rates).

Nestled into the hillside with the Teifi River winding through the valley below, we have spectacular views of rolling fields and forests as well as distant views of the Cambrian Mountain peaks and on a clear day you can even see the Preseli Hills.
Right on the border of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, our countryside location is peaceful but within 2 miles of the historic market town of Lampeter which has a variety of independent shops as well as 2 medium-sized supermarkets (Sainsburys and Co op).
There are many great country pubs in the area as well as take aways and an award-winning fish & chip shop. Or head to the coast only 20 minutes away for gourmet seafood and the quaint harbour towns of Aberaeron and New Quay. Cardigan Bay has so many beautiful beaches to explore and good surfing spots.
This area is fast gaining a reputation as a Foodie destination and there are many food and drink festivals in the summer months.

I have always loved being in the countryside. For 20 years I lived in a semi-rural village in Berkshire with my husband Leigh, bringing up our son, running a successful photography studio and taking long walks in nature. Whilst we had gorgeous countryside on our doorstep, we craved more.

We started exploring different areas of the UK at weekends with a view to eventually moving to a more rural area for a more relaxed and peaceful life. Our search took us further and further west until we crossed the border into Wales…and our hearts soared! Mid Wales was a revelation to us – the hills, the valleys the lakes and rivers…the open spaces. Our Big Dream began to take shape. We then discovered the sweet spot where we could also be with half an hour of the sea and the most picture perfect harbour towns as well as the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Cardigan Bay.

So when our son flew the nest we began the adventure to find our rural retreat. Our dream was to have a stunning view and a few acres of nature to wander in and create a haven for wildlife.

Driving up the track to Coedmor Fach for the first time, it really felt like coming home. The view, the peace and quiet and the idyllic cottages…it was very emotional – just like an episode of Escape to the Country! High on our wish-list was the ability to run a hospitality business, so having the two self-contained holiday cottages sealed the deal.

We are so passionate about this unspoilt and relatively unknown part of Wales that gets a fraction of the visitor numbers of Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia. We want to share our secluded corner of it with our cottage guests and help them to replenish their soul by spending time in nature.

If its a more action packed holiday you are after then there are plenty of beautiful walks, cycle rides, lots of historical sites to explore as well as stunning beaches.

We love welcoming back previous guests as well as meeting new ones of all ages from all walks of life and enjoy having them stay with us. We hope to meet you soon!
