A morning hike to stunning city views, in a dog friendly park with our rescue dogs! Non-profit, all proceeds go to the very dogs you are walking, who are also up for adoption. We'll meet friendly people on the way and let them know about the dogs. A nice walk up hiking trails to the top of Runyon Canyon. Fantastic city views, and the perfect view of the Hollywood Sign! As you climb your way up the hill with your new pals in tow, you’ll be exercising and socializing the dogs, and letting locals know they’re up for adoption. You’ll also become a puppy paparazzi and take their photos in front of panoramic backdrops—you can even pose with them with the famous Hollywood sign behind you. Your pictures will then be used to generate interest in the rescue organization, attract potential adopters, and bring in donations that will help further care for and foster the dogs until they find their forever homes. Come explore some of the highlights of this 5,000 acre park just above Hollywood! We’ll hike about 2.5-3 miles (depending on the exact route) up to the Griffith Observatory & on to a unique view of the Hollywood sign. I’ll show you an historic nature garden, we’ll get views of Hollywood and downtown LA from the iconic Griffith Observatory (which is also a museum), we'll see some of the highlights of the observatory, & then we'll go to see unique views of the Hollywood Sign. The lighting changes throughout the day (evening hikes will see sunset, while hikes earlier in the day are brighter), but the views are always beautiful! I’ll share history and geography of the Park and LA as we go along. And, of course, there will be ample stops for unforgettable photos from the best vantage points, and I will be happy to take memorable photos of you and your friends/family. This is a moderate hike ideal for families & those with the desire for a short, easy way to see the highlights. This experience is great for groups to book. We meet at the closest possible point for the shortest Hollywood Sign Tour (NO PARKING) where we'll take photos in front of the Sign (10 minutes). Then we'll walk 1.3 miles (2km) on a paved road, up a steep hill, to the very top of the Sign (45 minutes) and take your picture with the sign in the background and all of Los Angeles at your feet (10 minutes).
