We will begin by reviewing the three-course menu I have curated based on the selected film or TV show. The menu will consist of an appetizer, an entree (with a side), and a desert. I will first demonstrate how to prepare each item, and then assist you while you cook the dishes yourself. After all the food has been prepared, you will enjoy the film or TV show of your choosing while I plate and serve the meals to you. Come hungry, creative, and ready to learn some new cooking techniques and recipes!

From an early age, I was an adventurous eater. Whether it was visiting local Los Angeles restaurants, or traveling abroad, I strive to try as many flavors and dishes as possible, dissecting each meal and identifying new cooking techniques and methods. I took this passion to the kitchen and spent several years as an apprentice to a catering chef, working out of a many venues for groups of varying sizes. While my love for cooking grew, I also became passionate about the film industry and spent many years working on independent film sets as a producer and director. I appreciated how both cooking and film allowed me to express myself. This AirBnB experience was created out of my love for both cooking and film.

We will be cooking in a private catering kitchen with restaurant grade appliances to teach you how to handle a hot and busy kitchen. Also enjoy a large screen TV as you eat.

Very quirky and fun experience . Josh is a very amiable person and made sure to always check in with us during the cooking process. Definitely would do this again !

I highly recommend this experience! It's about the same cost as going out to dinner and a movie - but a much more personalized and unique experience. We did Mad Max and Josh thoughtfully linked the dishes to the movie from the names of the dishes, to the presentation to when he served the dishes during the movie (perfectly timed). For the cooking portion he had the basic recipe, but encouraged us to personalize it and make it our own. We ended with enough food for a whole meal the next day as well. Again can't recommend enough :-)

This was a lovely experience for our birthday. We got to try cooking new items that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. He made us feel confident in the kitchen and not worried that we would mess up. We would definitely do this again!

Josh was a fantastic teacher. He made the meal very personalized and most of all delicious! My girlfriend and i had the best time. We chose Crazy Rich Asians!
