Discover the secrets of the most famous cheese in the world.

At the arrival I will offer you breakfast, and I will give you a lab coat and a cap for the access to the production area. I’ll bring you along a complete tour to discover all the steps of Parmigiano Reggiano’s production. We’ll see where the animals are bred and where the milk is mould. We’ll go into the cheese factory during milk processing and we'll witness in cooking and making cheese wheels. We’ll see then the process of salting and maturing up to enter the huge “caveau”, where thousands of cheeses wheels are guarded and laid out in long rows in the silent maturation rooms and where the scent of cheese will smell so nice and exciting that we won’t be able to resist till the final tasting of cheese and local typical products.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All our experiences start in the morning at 08.30am and end at 12.30pm even if in the app you could see indicated different times

I’m deeply connected to my roots. My grandpa was a producer of Parmigiano so as a child I could learn all the secrets of this cheese. We will see the places I have lived since I was a child, where my uncle still produces this cheese with the same passion that we share.I love conveying my knowledge to people from other countries, which I try to share the culture and traditions of my homeland with.

We highly recommend this experience! Claudio was a great host, and Reggio Emilia seems like a great town! We got to see the whole parmigiano reggiano cheese making process, meet the cows, and of course taste. The maturation room was probably my favorite part! Claudio was very personable, and you can tell her knows his stuff! Don't miss this one!

Claudio’s tour was amazing! He shows you his family’s parmigiano reggiano production, and also the farm behind the cheese. You get to see the making of the cheese, meet the cheese maker and really understand the connection of the cheese to the land. Truly a fabulous experience that is not to be missed.

Amazing experience! Everything about this experience was spot on and I wouldn’t change a thing. Claudio, the host, has thought of everything to make this unique experience super fun and engaging. He makes it easily accessible if you arrive by train by picking you up at the station and dropping you off afterward. The tour is so much fun and super interesting. I will never forget the sensory moment of walking into the storage room where all of the Parma cheese wheels are resting and aging. That smell is indescribable! The experience culminates with a delicious and generous sampling, the perfect ending to a perfect tour. Claudio is a super friendly host and clearly an expert in Parmigiana Reggiano, Don’t hesitate to book this tour, you’ll be glad you did!

Of all the experiences one could have in Italy, this was easily the most memorable for my wife and me. We were lucky to have been the only two scheduled for that day, but I know Claudio would make anyone feel warm and welcome. It's not that often that you can learn about a major world product in a manner of hours, but Claudio did an amazing job of showing and explaining every detail of the world of Parmigiano-Reggiano. From the family-run factory and farm to the tastings of cheese, meat, honey, and balsamic. This was truly an unforgettable excursion.

During our tour Claudio didn’t just show us how cheese was made or why reggiano cheese was unique, he told us how food affects our bodies and ours minds and drilled home the importance of understanding where your food comes from. He shared captivating stories from his youth and gave us a window into the culture of his region that you cannot learn any other way. We were awed constantly during the tour and couldn’t have chosen a better way to spend a half day than with this font of knowledge, wisdom and hospitality.
