Það sem verður gert
You'll embark the antique saloon boat "Delphine" in the city centre at the Rijksmuseum dock. We will set sail for an early morning experience, see the 17th Century Amsterdam canal area in its quiet hours.
I'm an artist, chef & foody, historian and licensed boat-captain in Amsterdam! I believe life is about activating all senses. In that perspective, it made sense that I started with Art School, then I became a cook and later on even a chef. Seven years ago I fell in love with antique Dutch saloon boats and eventually I became a partner sailing and maintaining 103-year old "Delphine". With this little boat it all comes together for me. Food, culture, history and curious, funny anecdotes about my crazy old little town. I've traveled the world to come to the conclusion that I actually love my silly "swampy" country and in the last past 3 years my knowledge of its historical and philosophical origin grew to deeper levels. It's a history of trial & error. Food is a key to this history. To understand the story is to taste it.

From start to finish you will cruise the UNESCO World Heritage listed Amsterdam city centre. Basically everything around you was built in the 17th century. Delphine is a narrow little boat and will pass through even the smallest canals. Furthermore, we'll visit my favorite small scale deli-stores.

It will be a 2 hour cruise and there is no toilet on board of the canal boat. Although we will stop at different locations I still advise to use the restrooms before departure.
